She wants to release this album ASAP, but obviously in today's circumstances, that's difficult to do. That said, I don't think she'll want to wait until the fall or winter to release Chromatica, especially knowing how many fans just want the album already. Clearly, they had a lot planned for this era. Coachella, Apple Music event, other live performances and the usual TV promo. That's all got to change. So, I don't think the delay was about 'waiting for the virus to pass' (since, it's not going to for a long time) - I think it's more about responding to the times, pushing things back just a little, and putting the era together in a different way. She won't delay this for very long because it's awful, awful PR. And I don't think she could go through many months in the public without putting this album out.
