having a brain of 12 years old or a binary mind from twitter account is ok but having no logic or basic/decent manner when forming a reply is not.

one thing is doing a good deed to pay employee under uncontrollable severe circumstances when they can't go to work. one thing is that being not an obligation to do "good deed". both can co-exist.

most smaller businesses will rely on government stimulus plan and even some big corporations (e.g. airlines and automobile industry) may rely on being bailed-out in such circumstances. just wait for the true impact of the epidemic being realised in the Q1-Q2 statistics.

It isn't a "good deed" to pay your employees, it's the minimum. Employees are real people with real lives that need money to survive, we can't rely on good deeds because many businesses don't even care.

Why can’t he support Trump but his daughter doesn’t?

i think in American ppl can have their different political choice but still being friends or family...

It’s really strange that he didn’t saw the problem he will cause to his daughter after this and for that amount of money.. I mean ok business, blabla “it’s her money not his etc” but this thing -and before of your daughters release- can do a bigger damage of the lack of 50k fckg dollars that u want. It’s really strange. Poor choice for a businessman, poor choice for a dad who want the better for his kid, poor choice for someone who relates with a “foundation” n public relations.

something is wrong here. Sad.

let say if some are being paid at hourly rate (which is the norm for most businesses in the catering field), then the salaries they receive would depend on how many actual hours they have worked.

it's not ok to not pay people when they actually have worked. (i.e. not paying for actual work)

and it's not ok to not pay people below minimum wage (if that's the legal requirement in your location). (i.e. underpaying for actual work)

but it's a grey area to decide whether you should keep paying people when they do not work. it's a good thing to do to keep paying people in hard times but it's not an obligation.

He should use money to pay his employees instead of making political donations :billie:

What do I look like donating money when your daughter has hundreds of millions of dollars? :billie:

I wonder how much cash Gaga actually has out of pure curiosity

Not to mention many businesses genuinely can't afford it too which ppl need to understand

I'm not commenting on Joannes now but in general

This is true, but his social media followers, many of whom (if not most) only follow him because of his daughter, aren't obligated to pay his staffs' salaries while they're laid off, either, and considering his own wealth and his daughter's extreme wealth and celebrity, it looks bad. It looks especially bad when by contrast, other people out there, and I don't mean just celebrities, are Venmoing and PayPaling money to people who are suffering financially right now due to the effects of the pandemic. I empathize with small business owners during this challenging time, but Joe's not your run-of-the-mill small business owner.

Right?! This makes me wonder so many things... Is she greedy too? Did they fall out?

I don't know if she's greedy or not but she definitely has grown a taste for wealth vs her early career when she didn't care for a house and just put all the money into her shows

Not the case anymore

As for her dad who knows :emma:

These past few months I’ve realized how messy Gaga’s father actually is?

Now he's posted it on his Instagram too (a slightly different version). And y'all are worried that this thread is what's going to draw attention to it? Joe's doing a fantastic job of that all on his own.

Nothing suckier than self sabotage from your own inner fam members :triggered:

i never said people who followed his instagram should be obligated to "donate" either. it's just what it is. he prefers not to give out his financial gain in the past to provide financial assistance at the present, it's his choice, no matter if it's a bad look or not.

How true is the rumor that gaga's father is Islamophobic?

him being a Trumpie, I’d think he’s one of those supporters who’s stance on gays is “I don’t hate f**s but they need to stop touching children and forcing their homo-ness onto us!” :air:

I have sorta gotten this vibe from him, and it makes me so sad :(

I understand that parents can have different social/political standpoints than their children but

Have you met your daughter?? Most of her fans are LGBTQ not to mention so many of her friends.
