Joe Exotic: - Groomed 18/19 year old straight men and manipulated them with meth and money for sex and love until one left and another shot himself. - Married a third young man 2 months after his second husband/partner died and invited the mother of the deceased partner for a photo op. - Probably blew up a building with 5 alligators in it because of the incriminating footage inside. - Kept animals in horrible living conditions and starved some because he couldn’t afford enough food. - Kept two chimpanzees separated for ten years and didn’t realize it was wrong until he saw the chimps hugging each other at the rescue they were sent to. - Fed his animals and employees expired Walmart meat. - Spent all of his mother’s money without her knowledge on his zoo and legal battles with Carole. Carole Baskin: - Allegedly (but probably) killed her second husband or had a part in his disappearance. - Manipulated his deceased husband’s will so that she would inherit 90% of his estate and the rest was for the deceased husband’s children. - Keeps her animals in small, fenced areas. - Brands her location as a rescue even though she does a lot of the same exploitation tactics as Joe, who she harshly criticizes. - Has a weird cult thing going on. - Exploits volunteers and interns for their free labor. - Escalated the expensive legal battle with Joe by trying to collect $1,000,000 that she knew he didn’t have.
