It seems like covid is starting to stabilize around the world except for USA in the US case, it will increase only because more tests are being applied, btw I wouldn't trust on China's numbers so blindly, regimes are known for lying about the truth in their countries. MelbHawker 6,583
I live in Melbourne - I'm happy that our Government is putting in these measures to flatten the curve but it literally killed our economy overnight. Sad reality of this evil virus. I'd rather our health over anything.. but these measures will have to be put into place for 6+ months for us to be free of this virus. We are going into Winter after all, viruses love the cold. I lost my job yesterday (well, stood down for a minimum of 4 weeks with no pay) and there's guarantee I'm resuming the job I have lost because every industry won't start running as it used to once these restrictions are lifted. No-one has money to spend.. and wages won't be able to be paid. I fear housing prices will drop - great for buyers, but awful for those who are already home owners and have HUGE mortgages owing. They can't even sell to minimise their debt because they'd be losing money. Tough times. Australia's nosediving into a 90's-esque recession. It's going to destroy a lot of people. If it keeps going at this rate, perhaps by end of April (to be safe), life could possibly go back to normal, whereas some other countries will probably be having problems for months on months Sis the minute everyones allowed out again / borders open up Australia is SCREWED. We're going into Winter too.. it's literally going to hit us when the Flu season takes off. It's going to be a sh*t 6 months for us.
Blake 7,385
From what I've heard, things will take another 3/6 months. Then since we'll be in flu season, it'll just hit us yet again. We're screwed!

OMF 3,649
Thing is, in Australia only those who were overseas in the last couple of weeks get tested if they show symptoms. Anyone else who is coming in the country now is automatically quarantined. Who knows how many people actually have it. As for cases slowing, not sure about that either... That has changed now - I'm certain they're testing as many as they can because our borders are closed to non-Australians. They're now beginning to focus on transmission which is occurring within communities.

They test 10,000 a day which is much more than overseas visitors

Joshie S 6,556
I also hear test results are taking 4-5 days to come back. Although it seems like it's slowing, we don't have accurate numbers. I love your faith and hope in the OP but this aint over for a while yet... The melody that you choose can rescue you ♥
