SMILE2NE1 3,566
UPDATE (4 April 2020): Numbers are looking better It is important to note that Australia has one of the highest testing rates per capita anywhere in the world so this is not due to lack of testing. *** 1/133 people in Australia have been tested for the virus thus far, comparatively to 1/142 people in South Korea and 1/786 in the USA. Australia is testing more people per capita than "virtually anywhere else in the world", more school students to be kept home, and the death toll rises in Victoria and Western Australia. Here’s some good news: the national daily tally of new COVID-19 cases has fallen below the previous day’s count for two days in a row. Additionally, new cases have either fallen or remained steady in NSW, WA, SA and Tasmania. About 10,000 tests per day are being conducted Here are some key points from Professor Kelly: -Testing in every state has been expanded over the past few weeks -About 10,000 tests per day are being conducted -Australia is testing more people per capita than "virtually anywhere else in the world" -178,000 tests conducted in Australia -The majority of new cases in Australia are related to people coming back home from overseas -The number of people returning to Australia is now almost entirely Australian citizens and permanent residents, and that is decreasing every day -Right now Australia is "doubling" its ICU capacity to prepare for the future *** https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/australia/ https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-26/coronavirus-covid-19-update-uk-nhs-spain-russia-testing/12091060#TestingRates https://www.pedestrian.tv/coronavirus/coronavirus-flatten-the-curve-australia/ *** We stan an organised first world country

That man is literal trash.

If it keeps going at this rate, perhaps by end of April (to be safe), life could possibly go back to normal, whereas some other countries will probably be having problems for months on months

New cases per day have remained stable or decreased in most other states (NSW, WA, SA, TAS). Hoping it calms down in VIC.
