Glamourpuss 29,062
I've been thinking about this as well. It's just not realistic to think it could go ahead on those dates. The only reason I can think of for not postponing is they are worried about Stupid Love flopping even more. I think they want to keep it in the charts as long as possible and keep whatever little bit of hype is left going for as long as they can. When I look at Spotify every day it's still going up by at least 2-3 million each day. I know most of GGD seems to be over it already but there are many who still stream it including me. Either that or she's just really optimistic.

I know it makes sense - but I'd really hate if it was just a lie... especially considering the album delay, you know? I mean I doubt that she would say "My tour is cancelled, I had all this exciting things planned but they were ALL cancelled and now nothing exciting is coming from this era and all I can do is skype radio interviews, and this album is postponed for who knows how long, buy my makeup please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lets do it baby I know the Law
LaLa 19,703
I think she's being optimistic and hoping and planning for the best (as best she can at home). I'm sure she's really disappointed about everything she planned going to sh!t and wants to believe they can still pull it off. And it will likely be postponed not cancelled, so she WILL see us sooner or later.

Live Nation has cancelled all tours until June but summer dates are intact. They'll cancel summer tours soon but the Haus might as well prepare for the tour until they've exhausted all options. We don't know how far along they are in tour preparation and while isolation and working remotely are not ideal circumstances, most tour prep is done remotely and then Gaga has final say, anyway. Gaga does not have final say at all. It doesn’t matter that it’s her name, she is a massive business and there are hundreds of people involved on her team, MGM, Live Nation etc who are part of final decisions. And now with Covid it’s primarily the CDC making decisions. “Delete this thread that person is not Gaga he is a hot blonde twink”
PinkJelly 1,769
I’m just glad I didn’t buy tickets to the Chromatica Ball, would’ve been devastated after the postponement announcement, preordered the album for early access and saw the prices and thought better of it though
krystlel 66
That's a good point, that even if things were better by then, no one would have had time to rehearse or prepare. My thoughts were also that those are massive stadium tours, with people travelling to visit them. Things would have had to get a lot, lot better for that to happen (which it's not). Even if the restrictions start to lift, I think travel bans and border closures will stay for a long time, and same with bans for big crowds. I'm really surprised that those tickets even went on sale to begin with. The coronavirus was already getting bad by the time those dates were announced. If they didn't go on sale, I could have bought tickets for the new rescheduled date, rather than people just having tickets already for a new date. TimisaMonster 31,073
I didnt like how she was even giving the possibility May Enigma dates may still be on...like Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
PhuckGagaDaily 481
I don’t believe the dates will happen as scheduled. When this is over it will take months for countries to allow borders to open for non-essential travel before allowing people to come into their countries for tourism/entertainment. Gaga is American and at least those first two dates will be postponed to a later date. That said, I think deep down she knows it’s not happening and we can count on enigma in may to also be postponed. there are talks of two months of isolation to flatten the curve. With Italy sharing the news of biggest amount of deaths in a single day due to covid-19 2020 is going to be rough.
Midnightrush891 727
It’s in my opinion she’s trying to be optimistic, and is trying to make sure when it’s safe she can give us all what we deserve. However, for some of you nasties, that would be nothing. I’m actually scared now after writing this 😑
Stephen 30,431
She prepared for artRave in only 1 month. It's 100% possible she's a very hard worker. Of course she could be already designing the stage and planning the whole thing now, and only rehearse in June and still she'd be fine.
Doot 2
Look, I love her, but if she wanted to prevent people from spending money on her music, and put that towards helping public school kids eat, medical supplies etc like she said, then she wouldn't continue to sell makeup nor merch, or idk...tour tickets? I don't know what actually occurred behind the scenes, but no, I don't personally get that reasoning. As it stands, it doesn't make sense. "I believe that art can be super healing during times like this this but I've made the decision to not release my art." But eh, whatever. At this point, nothing surprises me anymore. I feel like something else is behind this decision. The fact she didn't postpone the tour at the same time is what makes the statement seem misleading. If she's been talking to professionals, she knows this isn't going away any time soon. She can't use the "I have promo that I want to do with the album" yet think she's going to realistically cram promo and tour rehearsals into half the time, and then not end up cancelling the tour when she can't perform due to a flare up. I say release the album, or postpone/cancel the tour.
Chromatic Lover 868
2 hours ago, OMonster said: Oh no, I totally know and accept that the tour will be cancelled. My issue is that Gaga would lie that it 'might' happen, whilst already - probably - knowing herself that it's already been cancelled. I don't think it's fair that she'd deliberately give us false hope, if she knew it had been cancelled. I think from a financial standpoint if her team cancels then she has to pay the venue which is very expensive (not the full price but a fee). However, if the venue itself cancels then her team doesn't pay anything and she saves that money. So probably they're waiting for the venue itself to cancel instead of them. I could be wrong. Germany and Singapore kind of have it under control, and the corner has turned in some other places. It's all sort of guess work. The fact that WB pushed Wonder Woman 1984 back to August makes me think the entertainment industry believes things will go back to semi-normal by then....I wouldn't be surprised if she drops Chromatica in July and pushes the first few Chromatica Ball dates back...but keeps the August dates. I could also see the album out in July and the tour pushed back by several months. I have no idea what is going on with the entertainment industry, but I would assume it's probably safer to plan on theaters being open in August than a large-scale event like a stadium tour. Not to say they probably have reasons for not wanting to cancel prematurely. I can't even imagine the logistics of that. AVeryGagaHolyDick 25,988
She took less than two weeks to rehearse for the JWT, but other than that you're right
Gagaism 11,949
I don’t think the tour is going to be cancelled but postponed. And I hope for 2021, because nobody is going to have money enough after such a breakdown to get in line and fight for a expensive concert ticket. I think she says “planning” in a long term as many of artists are rescheduling and rethinking all plans that they have for their releases and stuff.
