They also had leaders that brought 800 million people out of absolute poverty in one generation. No country has ever done that in history. You can't be selective when talking about China. You can't be selective either when talking about the US also. Both countries did horrible things, but both countries are also the leaders in human development as well. China is still behind the rest of the world in many aspects but unlike India and Middle East who seems to go absolutely no where, China is making progress. It's just not correct to let racism in its purest textbook form slip aside and not give it any attention. There has been many videos on Twitter recently of chinese people being beaten up/insulted because of the virus. There has been some tweets about chinese restaurants going bankrupt because people don't wanna go there anymore aswell, or BEGGING their customers to still come in their restaurants etc...
