Madame X? Even MDNA is closer to a pop bible :huntyga:

It's among the 5 best Madonna albums ever and you can deal :gaycat:

Euhm, this should be Confessions on a Dance Floor

But all signs point to the next pop bible being the new testament; Dedicated Side B.

Now, be quiet I'm praying.

Including a one hit wonder, but not mentioning Confessions on a dancefloor or The Fame Monster, what a list.

I don't get the fuss around COADF. Except for the masterpieces Hung Up and Sorry it has four decent songs and that's it. Massively overrated

They shipped it, but it got shipped back

An album filled with great (pure) pop songs. Close to no fillers.

Marina_and_the_Diamonds_-_Electra_Heart.

Okay this album does not include my fav song from her, but it is full of bobs, it's Pop, it's electronic, it's dark, it's ironic etc. The concept is more about a character (Electra Heart) and her tragic lovelife. And she was based on different female archetypes. Housewife, beauty queen, homewrecker and idle teen. The era had a typical asthetic was full of looks and visuals, and all music video's were connected.

Spoiler

"Electra Heart is the antithesis of everything that I stand for. And the point of introducing her and building a whole concept around her is that she stands for the corrupt side of American ideology, and basically that's the corruption of yourself. My worst fear—that's anyone's worst fear—is losing myself and becoming a vacuous person. And that happens a lot when you're very ambitious."

—Marina describing the concepts for Electra Heart and its title character.

Most iconic song on the album is Primadonna. Another one is How To Be A Heartbreaker, and fan faves are Teen Idle and Bubblegum Bitch.

Thanks, that sounds very interesting actually. I'll give those songs a listen, and maybe the entire album after that
