ASIB was huge because it got a blockbuster movie backing it up. Even then, 162,000 of 231,000 of its first week sales are physical sales than streaming, as per Billboard report. Shallow streaming was slow burn. It was only get significant stream numbers by week 2 and on. 

I don't disagree about her streaming force but nobody at Interscope is hurting for money so a mild debut won't be the end of the world.
