I find it even more comical that the majority of individuals in the world are NOT concerned about their government. A lot of people just sit back and take it. It takes a self-confident and aware person to constantly challenge their surroundings. Same with a lot of people talking so big yet they're not even registered to vote or don't even bother to vote. We need more people who actually care and educate themselves on these matters.

Now I'm not going to support or go against Assange. I do agree that his actions greatly fuel certain fires, especially between nations. When the darker side of things are shown for what they are, no one is going to be happy. But at the same time, who's to ultimately blame in the end? The people being shady, or the person who's exposing this all?

Your first quote slayed my life

minutes before the media blows this up even if it's fake. if this is fake, and the media blows up, Gaga has to respond to this. it's too much....

Yes I realize that this is 12 pages in already, but I guess this is the joy in having people reply to your first page comments.

This isn't too much. Not even close. I can't at people overdramatizing this and assuming she is suddenly a follower of Assange or something. When did someone lose the free will to meet someone and not have to share the same beliefs or support what they're doing? We all know her curiosity, regardless if she is the world's biggest celebrity, she is still going to have her moments. Catch her a break, too much speculating for something that really doesn't need it.

that's all :nails:

I know it sounds crude and very messed up, but unfortunately the reality of the situation is that it happened and there's nothing we can do to change it. He leaked that information because he believed that people have an honest right to know what the government is doing behind closed doors. His mindset was that if the government is going to be a--l about what citizens do behind closed doors, then it should work both ways. Information he leaked about the military involvement in Afghanistan pretty much opened up Pandora's Box for the U.S. showing how disgusting things really were; innocent victims being killed and going unreported, hostile activity that was never a directive nor order for military personnel. His whole message behind leaking this stuff was pretty much clear that regardless of which country you're from or what type of government you're under, that you shouldn't just take it or leave it. People have the power to make changes and know what goes on in their surroundings.

$50 says she met with him to get the best tips on the highest form of encryption on her files and security over her producers servers to avoid ARTPOP being leaked a week in advance like Born This Way was.

THIS.

Rise up, People. That's his message. Take back the power from the Government. VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

:troll:

No but seriously, his message was loud and clear: WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!

Gaga should've spent more time with her fans instead of spending HOURS with Assange. I don't know, if I were a celebrity, my fans would be my first priority? What do you guys think?

Tbh, she gives her fans everything. This is Julian Assange we're talking about, he's the Deep Throat of our generation.

Her fans are consistently her first priority. For example, even when she is sick, she continues to dance and complete her show. That's dedication to not only oneself, but their fans as well. I know how those fans must feel...but I really honestly believe people need to move on. She obviously had business with Assange that won't become transparent any time soon.

I really want to know what they talked about. I hope she talks about it more.

She spends hours with fans already. She quite often goes above and beyond to make sure her fans are satisfied. She obviously went to see Assange for a reason and she thought it was worthy enough to spent how ever much time she spent with him.

Did MIA respond to this yet? Bet she didnt expect Gaga to actually visit him mwaha

Exactly! How does this incident make MIA look, especially if she never goes to meet Assange at this point?

And I'm loving it :legend:

Can't wait to see what she does next!

Well, 2012 isn't over yet. We aren't even near the next era's beginning, more like the crossroads between Born This Way and ARTPOP.

Can't wait for more to be honest

She might go somewhere someday that would test your resolve as a fan. Prepared to which whatever end?

Great points Elizabeth! Maybe that's why I was very surprised that Gaga didn't spend more time with her fans, I mean, b---h RUNS to her little monsters, so yes, quite shocked that she wasn't her usual self. Probably an off day for her.

Personally I don't care about this, what she chooses to do is on her. But this could be a really, really big mistake. We've seen it before when some musicians go too far in the wrong (negative) direction in political statements and their careers have suffered enormously for it to the point of being unable to recover from it. I don't think this is going to be one of those moments, but that's because I don't personally believe it to be a big deal. But if the media plays it that way, and it opens the gates for everyone who's disliked her from the start to really tear her apart of it then it really could be bad. She's playing with fire in this situation and like I said before it's happened to other people through out history.

He is accused of rape.

Innocent until proven guilty and all that. And like someone said earlier in the thread, you don't find this a bit iffy that the rape allegations only came up after Wikileaks blew up?

So wait let me get this straight...M.I.A(who b---hes about Lady Gaga a good deal) tweets her saying when she's done with Harrods come to the Emabassy? As some sort of shade shade meaning, when youre done promoting your perfume why dont you do something a bit more worthy since youre such an activist? But low and behold Gaga infact does show up, but wait for it............M.I.A isnt even there? Am I missing something here? Or is this basically the census as of right now?
