First you said NRO did better on any metric, then when presented by receipts you switch and say only streaming is important and everything else is payola  :billie:

Chart positions without sales numbers is not a valid metric. That should be obvious.

IF Gaga released this album you’d probably pee yourself out of excitement and you know that.

I love Dua very much as well as this sound she’s going for, but realistically, seeing how pretentious this fanbase is, Gaga would get dragged if she released something like FN. It’s not very complex lyrically, and almost every song is about the same thing. I could see LMs saying she’s basic, sellout, not the same lyrical genius she used to be, etc.

And I also disagree that this is a sound Gaga has been chasing, I mean her last 3 eras were pop country and jazz. Her last dance pop album was in 2013 and it was electropop and EDM. There were some disco influences in BTW and The Fame but nothing like what Dua is doing.

I know this is probably not your intention, but your comment just continues pitting the two girls against each other. That reviewer just had no business whatsoever bashing Gaga in order to praise Dua. It was unnecessary and didn’t even help Dua at all, it only brought her unfair backlash from a very large fanbase. Mentioning Gaga there was just random and out of line. And I know Dua herself wouldn’t appreciate that drag, considering how she’s expressed her admiration for Gaga before.

They got brave to roast her 'cause even Gaga's own fans publicly despised her and proud to spam it everywhere. Gaga's worst enemies in action.

The thing is that some of the people here can't argue against this and at the same time not drag Dua as if she said anything against Gaga. Fans wanted Gaga to do disco album for years and I'm sure fans would die if she released something like FN. I can't predict future but I honestly do think so.

I'm not pitting anyone against anyone.. I'm just saying that Dua's album is actually really good.

Also Gaga has been hinting at disco sound since like 2015 and she still didn't deliver.

Also fans didn't complain when PitchFork mentioned Dua in Gaga's review.. What the fuss now?

Child.. you’re quoting your ass off up in these threads. I can and will always have my opinion just like everyone on here. This is a forum site. We discuss things. Maybe take a time out if you can’t handle the opinions of others and clearly you can’t. Lol it’s slightly pathetic tbh but hey, you’ll build up some resistance and control your emotions soon enough. In the meantime, if your goal is to change my opinion that’s pretty much a lost cause. She should not have postponed and Gaga isn’t my leader lol...her doing it doesn’t mean I have to agree with it. Lmao but “attempt” to go off I guess

If Gaga wanted that sound, she would have that sound. She has access to the best producers in the world. I do love Dua Lipa's new music, but there was no need to shade Gaga like that. How the f*** does this person know what sound Gaga's been chasing? Did they not listen to Joanne?

She just made a whole album full of ballads singing about her fictional dead husband, like try to make it make sense please

Well, Joanne kind of did that.

Another ghei mad with GaGa for the delay, I see! :billie:. Dua was going to postpone too, he can stay mad and bothered, GaGa remains rich and successful :ladyhaha:

As for the "sound", while it is true that Dua's album sounds more "fresh" than anything GaGa has released after Born This Way, it is ridiculous to compare the two. GaGa is an established pop phenomenon, who found her own sound aeons ago, of course she's not the "it" girl anymore.

This is Dua's second album, she's still relatively new in the industry, obviously she sounds new and exciting, and GaGa sounds "like GaGa" :laughga:. In ten years Dua will also sound "like Dua", and there will be some new girl with a "fresh" sound.

The comparison is dumb, and the author sounds like a pressed little monster, next :ladyhaha:
