You realize there's literally no other way to word it right? Do you expect her to say "my label made me postpone" like chile please

WE, the haus, my label like she addressed them several times before. Saying "I" thought about it a lot, and "I" decided - implies that SHE was behind this decision. shyle please

You actually think these mofos really care about Gaga? They don't even see her as human. I imagine she's probably super sad and depressed right now.

Being sad is one thing, but people are being downright hateful and insulting.

I'm also f*cking tired hearing about got damn Dua Lipa, I love her too, but she is not 34 years old, in the business for over a decade, and making her return to pop music. Gags has been planning this come back for months if not years.

She's not going to release this in the middle of a pandemic while people are dying just for you guys to bussy pop to a few songs, get bored, and ask her where LG7 is.

It's no surprise that the level of maturity on this site is down the toilet, I understand to be upset but insulting Gaga for this is completely unnecessary and also idiotic. I'm sorry to say this but I've NEVER seen such an uncaring fanbase especially to someone so kind and lovable like Gaga....

I've never seen fans act this way either. I almost regret even joining this site. I mean I expected the crazies to be out and about on Twitter/Instagram, but not on here.

Some of these mofos are legit crazy.

They act like they can't understand or comprehend much of anything. They just want what they want.

Also, as I wrote on another thread, she's invested a lot of energy and time on this project. It's her artistic creation, and she has a right to execute its launch in the way she has envisioned. It must be devastating to her and other artists right now (not just musicians, but also authors, filmmakers, etc.) who have to decide whether to release in the midst of a pandemic or to postpone their releases. I especially feel bad for artists who had reached the point of no return and had no choice but to release during this time (thinking about films that just came out before cinemas shuttered, or authors whose books came out and now they can't give readings and book tours, etc., which will impact their sales severely). Her vision extends beyond the album itself into the larger era, and she should be allowed to wait to release until she can realize that artistic vision. I can't imagine she made this decision lightly.

On top of this, she has to be freaked out about the virus. Her parents and Joe's mother live in NYC (and isn't Joe's mom in some kind of senior housing?), and I just read a chilling prediction by Governor Cuomo that he anticipates that 80% of New York will become infected with the virus. She must be terrified for them, and she might be scared for her own health. Even though I doubt she's going out, I assume someone living with her (I don't even know who she's quarantined with other than Bo & Michael – does she have assistants quarantining with her, and is that even allowed with a shelter-in-place order?) is going out to buy groceries and run errands, and thus there's always the anxiety that this person could become infected and spread it to Gaga (unless they've having everything delivered). Heck, even getting the mail makes me nervous these days.

I haven't consumed all of - or, really any - the negative feedback yet especially since I don't have social media and only just found out about the delay from my boyfriend since I have been taking time away from here. Social media was created with the intent of it being weaponized; on one end, it has given society an unnatural sense of importance and entitlement, was programmed specifically to get users addicted to the rush of dopamine associated with instant gratification in terms of likes, retweets, etc., fosters competition on perception rather than reality (social media is a curated environment- you see what the person or entity on the other side wants you to see and nothing more or less)... stan culture was bound to happen.

A generation demanding instant and constant gratification to appease their lack of attention span, who develops a fierce need to defend the things they obsess over - not because they want to have a meaningful debate over art - but because once they let it become part of their curated existence, they literally can't deal with it being challenged. Others love the attention that comes from it all. At the end of the day, none of the discussion is about the art, or anything meaningful.

/SOCIAL MEDIA RANT.

Anyway, the other dangerous end of it is that it has taken away the barrier between fame and fan; this not only has made it less 'magical' to consume art and taken away the awe and surprise associated with music/film/etc. stars, it has also created this false sense that somehow, these millionaires are just ordinary people like you and I. They are NOT. Fans and humans had empathy and compassion way before social media; but, they were also able to criticize a celebrity for something they did without the reaction that the celebrity "owes you nothing." That is simply not true. Lady Gaga is a brand; a very successful brand, that was built on the hard work of Stefani Germanotta's artistic talent and has since expanded in many directions. Lady Gaga absolutely owes her fans, just as any brand owes their stakeholders and customers, because WE are the ones who made her brand a success. She turned a profit because of US.

That is NOT entitlement. That is a realistic perspective on why millionaire celebrities are allowed to be criticized, why I - as a consumer and fan - am entitled to my disappointment, and why I should receive more compassion and empathy in this hypothetical from others who are MUCH closer to me than they are to Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is going to be fine. Thanks to the money she has earned from us fans, she can afford to do whatever she wants or nothing at all.

It's sweet to worry about her and her family's health. But, I promise they will get the best care imaginable. Now is the time when you need to worry less about Lady Gaga and more about the millions of fans, some who may be reacting in indefensible ways, but the majority of whom are simply disappointed during a time when they could use art from their favorite artist as so much comes crashing down around them.

I am allowed to be sad. I am allowed to be mad that she took so long to release this to begin with. I am allowed to be mad that she didn't even make appearances the 1-2 weeks at the start of the era when it WAS possible. I am allowed to feel a lot of things; and, I should be able to share those with this type of community who should spend less time watching fake Intsagram stories from their BF celebs and more time back on earth which has not been cancelled for any of US.

Well, the narrative that "Gaga only cares about money" is wrong though.

But as you say, yes, "she doesn't see this as conflicting". She doesn't only care about money, but of course she loves money. Who doesn't love money? I love money!

The amount of people on this site who play dumb like money isn't important. Especially as a musician that **** ain't cheap.

I think a lot of young fans back during the MB and BTW days bought in to the "I hate money" speeches of Gaga and didn't understand it was one of her hyperboles and really believe she hates money. :huntyga:

Facts but let's be honest most fans take everything she says at face value not realizing it's a metaphor for something deeper. :smh:

For fans of Lady Gaga a lot sure goes right over their heads.
