People do have the right to be upset, but they don’t have to be downright dirty. I too am upset, but I understand that she wants to give the whole package (promo, shoots etc.) not just something half-assed. I mean she even said herself that she has been working on this project for years.

I know all Of us want to listen to the album, eventually it will be out. In my opinion the delay was completely the right thing to do. Some people just need to stop and take a breath.

Yes it’s totally normal for fans to be upset, Gaga herself acknowledged it in her post. But you have to remember there’s a lot behind this type of decisions, it’s not like she just said “oh welp won’t release it”.  The fact that she had so much planned for this era honestly makes me sad for her, and I understand that she wants to execute everything perfectly. I thought that was something fans would be happy about, knowing that she had many things in store for us. Now we will get the era we wanted. Y’all are mad right now, but when she comes back and slays us with this era y’all will come back crawling.

Every individual is entitled to their own opinion; ESPECIALLY at a time like this... Gaga just made a HUGE announcement (postponed album)... Did anyone honestly and seriously expect this to be all peaches and cream? Everyone has an opinion, and everyone has the right to feel how they feel about it... This is a forum. a forum is made for debates and discussions, not everyone will feel the same, and not everyone is happy. PERIOD.

In fact when you have privilege one of the most important things you can do is call out and remind other people that they share that same privilege as you. I’m a cis white male I have more privilege than most. But I’m also not making the coronavirus about me and my love for an artist. I’m patiently waiting, without a job, in my house. I simply said if you’re gonna make this about you I’m gonna remind you that you’re very lucky that that’s the biggest problem you have in your life right now because people are dying.

It's kind of a blind mirror effect.  Personally, I don't care about the sales, but I care about the quality. It's not the consumers responsibility to make sure a product is profitable (which again, is why I'm not attacking... I agree with you to some extent).  The artist/label cares about both.  They have employees/producers/contractors and the artist her-self to pay. 

 

Edit: Maybe I should say I do care to some extent I want her to succeed in this album, because I want her to continue making music in the future.  If quality music flops, they'll turn to some generic sh*T

Wow here I thought this could be a thread for monster's generally upset for the reasons you stated in the OP and yet everyone else came repeating themselves from the Chromatica thread like they're annoying broken records. I have terrible anxiety, depression, and have a father who is forced to go into the workforce everyday and get himself or the rest of us sick. While it may seem extreme, I do have a genuine fear of possibly never being able to get the album. I don't know when to differentiate my shortness of breath as symptoms of COVID or anxiety, and it's becoming paralyzing. We should start a new thread of people not asking for leaks, bashing gaga or being mean to her, we do exist and I think there's a lot of us. I am sure she's upset and that makes me even sadder.

Fans also don't have the right to use this to bash Lady Gaga herself. She has made the right decision; she cannot travel and promote the album currently, thus cannot make a full era out of it while Covid-19's keeping people locked in their homes isolating, or working full-time jobs that are presently needed by society. Furthermore, no one will be more dissapointed by this than Gaga herself so the idea of any fans lashing out at her over this very sensible and doubtless very upsetting decision is appauling.

We are allowed to be dissapointed, but we should also acknowledge that this was the right call.

The timing was awful for an album release, and between us fans, she wasnt creating an hype at all about it, so the postponed was smart, but she could at least said the new release date and put a promo song
