I think the pandemic is unlikely to be resolved in the next two months and may stretch on throughout the summer.

Remember it took China with their advanced medicine 4 month to "contain" the virus. Now think about the other countries that doesn't have the equipment :wtf:

What if tomorrow I see you again? Should I say that I used to love you?

Lmao im so done. Whatever. Thank God for The Weeknd and Dua releasing music in these trying times. Sad that my actual ultimate fav doesnt want to do the same cuz of commercial reasons (let's be real...that is the main reason). Oh well.

Still love her, still love this fan base but i cannot hide that i am sooo disapointed but it isnt the end of the world if it is postponed tbh....it is what it is i guess...

This was covered a thousand times in a hundred threads already, but let me just state this once more:

GAGA'S SITUATION IS NOT AT ALL THE SAME AS DUA'S OR THE WEEKND'S.

Those two had months of promo leading up to their release. It was way too late for them to back down.

Gaga's era was just getting started. This means, everything she had planned in the coming month or so might have been (and probably was) cancelled due to COVID-19. This makes it way harder to come up with a last-minute digital promo plan, especially if she really wanted to go all in this era.

STOP COMPARING GAGA'S SITUATION WITH THEIRS. IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE.

Of course you're allowed to enjoy those two albums - and you're also allowed to be upset about the delay! But reaching for the first satisfying answer you can find by comparing her to other pop artists out there, without it making any sense at all - that just seems petty to me.

PS. Quoting you directly because you're the last person I've seen mention this - but this isn't addressed to you only.

Also, East Asia is experiencing another outbreak with people returning from Europe and North America, as well as locals having a false sense of security. Until the whole world takes this seriously, it's going to keep on happening.

Plz do not police my emotions. I gave a very reasonable and muted response compared to so many on here. I'm not feeling great, my aunt has corona, im feeling low, i have financial issues at the moment and my favorite artist and beacon of hope (as cheesy as that sounds) has disapointed me at a vulnerable moment...i dont want to be lectured by no one. Plz leave me alone if you are going to talk down on me or act holier than thou simply because you have a different and more "pro postponement" opinion on this situation. LEAVE ME ALONE.

It's okay. There are more pressing matters in the world right now. Even if she released it as planned she wouldn't be able to do hardly any promo.

Honestly guys, it's not that big of a deal.

All I pray is that this finishes so we can go back to see our families, friends and neighbors :wtf:

I hope everyone here gets to listen to the album when it comes out and they don't die because of this stupid virus. Take care everyone even those stupid f*ckers that think delaying the album was the right choice...stay safe

This...everyone just wants something that make them feel the world is normal and not at the edge of DOOM.

I get you hon, and I hope everything gets better and you find your music to keep you dancing

I think the pandemic is unlikely to be resolved in the next two months and may stretch on throughout the summer, so it's risky for her to set a new release date anytime before autumn, and yet, as long as the Chromatica Ball still is scheduled for the summer, she'll need to list a release date prior to that. None of this is her fault of course.

(I am hoping things are resolved way before then though!)

Yikes, I mean she should of just released it now and cut her losses if we’re really looking at the end of the year (or later:bradley:). It’s just unimaginable having a lead single roll out and then just pausing it for almost a year to pick it all back up again later on. I know we’re in unprecedented circumstances but honestly how is that gonna work. Anyway I’m just going to hope and pray the tour doesn’t get pulled.

Not the bore worms!

The positive thing about this could be a new lead single with a decent music video and pretend stupid love never existed lol

would it kill her or her team to have any kind of intuitive fan engagement strategies in times like these?  Something like "in the meantime we are going to be releasing some fan-awaited unreleased tracks from previous eras, so you all can share in the joy of music and use music as your emotional strength through these trying times".   She has to have 10's or possibly 100's of tracks and demos that could be released (maybe even just 1 every couple weeks) on either Soundcloud or directly through her website, etc.  If they are not promoted and only announced on twitter or instagram there would be little to no impact on the GP's view of the upcoming album cycle, while also keeping true fans engaged and excited about the album.  Just my opinion, and i know none of this was gaga's choosing, but if the album isn't out until fall or winter of 2020 now, SL is going to look like a failed comeback to the GP and further lower her "uncool" factor.  I will always support her music, but I can't help but feel this will change the whole story line SL was leading into, and possibly cause her label to rethink the whole album and potentially make gaga inclined to over analyze and change the tracks like she did with Swinefest>ARTPOP

Guys, people don't want music to heal them, people don't want to dance the pain away. What kinda delusion is this? People just wanna know when they'll get back to their normal lives.

Don’t tell me and others how they should enjoy music. I really don’t even know what to say to this other than Gaga herself this music was made to dance the pain away, and her own pain away too. Plus if you actually knew basic history, “normal” never returned again after the Spanish flu, and the Great Depression.

This is such a horrendous comment ewww.

What a disgusting and disrespectful comment coming from someone who's deemed one of the most positive user. :wtf:  (I'm talking about the post you quoted)

there's also the very real possibility of this being an ARTPOP 2.0 situation with people calling the music dated and not sounding fresh if she doesn't end up releasing until late 2020 or early 2021.  by then the entire trend landscape could work against Chromatica, and all other artists who were supposed to release from April-? will be in a rush to release for financial purposes so she will likely be up against much more competition.  IMO right now she would basically have no competition, but i get it's not anyone's fault

We need to realise that yes we’re all disappointed but no one is more disappointed than Gaga herself. I can only imagine how hard it must’ve been for her and I respect the decision to delay Chromatica’s release.

I think some of you need a reality check, we’re experiencing an unprecedented event and people are literally DYING. If you’re going to complain and moan, really take a good look at yourself because there is more important things going on in the world right now. YES it would’ve been nice to have new music to escape from these depressing times, but be patient and accept that not everything goes to plan and unfortunately that’s just life.
