We knew the risk, we were aware of that, it has never been so easy for an epidemic to spread into a pandemic in today's world. We all can travel everywhere very quickly, everything is connected, every country, every city, everything litteraly. And we are 7 billions on earth. We just didn't realised that it could happen anytime, thinking that this type of event is something that only happens in movies. There is an interesting documentary on netflix called "pandemic". The worst pandemic we know of in history happened 700 years ago it's not like we're on some special trial now from a virus This virus isn't even that bad compared to a lot of the sh*t out there. It just happens to be very infectious and the world is super interconnected now Like Bill said in one of the videos we should be prepared in the health department the same way the military is prepared for military conflicts. He lead the charge to eliminate the only disease we have been successful in completely wiping out - small pox. He's also on his way to eliminating Polio.
