zerojk 4,958
Every day a possible delay makes less and less sense Why? There's no guarantee at all that this crisis will be over in a month, or in two, or in three.... not even by the end of the year If they want to aim for a date when everything goes back to normal they would have to push it back to NEXT YEAR Also, they have already cancelled all the performances and promo that they were planning, and literally every other artist is continuing with their release schedules.... The weekend, Childish gambino, Dua Lipa (she's even releasing earlier) At this point it would be unfair and totally pointless to delay, hopely they make the right decision
GaGaAst 13,023
We got everything in a week. Don't worry I am happy as long as she doesn't push back release date Love it when you call me legs In the morning, buy me eggs
Bubblegum Bitch 18,934
Since Zula Peep will release 'Future Nostalgia' on March 27, Lady Gaga should change Chromatica release date to April 3.

BleepBloop 10,316
Pls, it's going to last at least until the end of June. That's pretty much confirmed. If a delay happens, it will be total bullshit

RAMROD 109,711
I mean, Ebola lasted for 2 years in West Africa, from 2014-2016. SARS lasted 4 years, from 2002-2006. Looks like that is general time span until cure and vaccine is found? Hope Coronavirus would not take longer than that? River 117,349
Just by looking at the sales and streams of The Weekend, I wonder why some monsters are still hysteric over the release of the album during the pandemic? We are at home, we have nothing to do, this is the best moment for new announcements and releases! And honestly, people are dying, the economy is going crazy, is it really the most important thing now to be a lil manager? So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

I don't think people's concern is the commercial performance of the record - it's the promo for the sake of enjoyment, and how the era is obviously going to be non-existent. Personally (and all indicators suggest this isn't what Interscope are doing), I wouldn't be sad if the album was delayed until the end of this year. I honestly don't care about charts (and nor do most, not on a fundamental level) - but I DO care about how the era is rolled out. I love the interviews, the looks, the performances, the engagement with fans. None of that is going to be possible. If Chromatica was pushed back now until, say, November 2020 - we could essentially re-start the era. We'd have a 'new' lead single and MV and we'd have the enjoyment of an era we all so want. Of course, the risk is that the virus might be with us into the winter. And that's why Interscope aren't delaying and why the album will be here on the 10th. It's all too unpredictable. But from the sole perspective of a fan, I would rather the album be pushed back if it comes now with little to no enjoyment. And I know the music is what matters, but to some (most?), it's the overall 'era' that really makes a Gaga album so exciting. subtext / fantasy

Gaga seems to have had a really elaborate era planned with the tribes and what not. At this point we're only going to get an album and MAYBE another video. Many of you already have the attention span of fleas and will be asking for a new album/era 3 months after this album's release. I'm not even sure if the tour will still happen as planned. I don't WANT the album to be delayed, but I completely understand and wouldn't be upset if it is. Gaga is an experience, she's not meant to just drop music and hide out in her house.
