I know but ur missing my point

Artists that are hot and followed by GP don't need to be promoted to get the streams. People will stream their music at home when it comes out regardless and to a greater degree cuz they got time

Artists that are not the hottest thing like Gaga don't get as many streams on their own (we have SL to prove it). Gaga would have benefited from standard promo to a greater degree than artists that are already popular now.

The fact that SL is doing better in Radio Airplay than she is in streams means she's on the loosing side on the effects of the shutdown

This virus is having a regressive impact on artists I think. Those that are already hot now get even more streams abd benefit from the lockdown relative to artists that aren't as hot and suffer if they were hoping to re-emerge with a radio hit or something

I know, but you're missing my point.

I understand that Gaga has to rely on radio and more "standard" forms of promo more so than other artists because she's not as "hot" as she once was.

That's why I suggested that maybe more online promo on streaming services would do the trick. I mean, if people are going to be streaming more (conceivably), then the only promo she could really do that could make a significant impact is on streaming services. Maybe more promo on Spotify, Apple Music, etc. can do her better. I'd also love for her to do some livestreams on IG live or something like that, but that's another discussion entirely.

That's why I also said that the Ariana collab could be really helpful for her. Ariana is a hot artist now, so if Gaga does a collab and puts out a sickening music video, I would at least assume people would be curious and check it out. Hopefully Rain On Me is actually a bop, so that way people who check it out will actually stream and listen to it once it's out.

Yes. In terms of online promo and the Ariana collab, I agree!

Didn't Spotify reported like 2 days ago that they had an all-time-high peak on their active users?

HDD reported that older material and songs from old groups/legends have seen a spike but that's it.

I don't think sales will drop cuz of quarantine and streams will definitely rise cuz ppl got more time to stream

What will suffer is Radio and Club plays and Gaga as a re-emerging artist in popularity that isn't heavily followed by GP yet would have benefited from radio hits like SL is

Artists that don't need to be put back on the map benefit from lockdown. Artists like Gaga that could benefit from standard exposure like radio to get back on map and streams suffer :/

Agreed but people will also watch youtube more so if she has an incredible video with replay value that will help.

I don't know if I would call the SL Video incredible... It has good choreography and I like her pink hair but other than that it looks like a cheap low budget video :emma:

Some of you are expecting way too much from Chromatica. It’ll do like 210k if we’re lucky. Physical sales are gonna take a hit and only the Ari collab is gonna do well on streaming. Let’s also not forget our bundle boost is gonna be small because it’s only three shows.

OT: Abel served with his new album. :firega:
