AJM 1,520
Just thought I’d post in here, I’m not posting much on social media right now but, I feel necessary to post here. I have COVID19, and am now on day seven of Having the virus. I will say this, it is the worst I’ve felt in my life, the shortness of breath, the fever is the highest it’s ever been in my life and my strength is low. But it really does feel like a bad case of the flu. The only think different is the way it has affected my breathing. I can’t hold my breath for ten seconds without coughing or feeling short of breath. But that’s about it. This is just like having the flu, a bad dose of flu but with rest and paracetamol it’s making it bearable. I know to some people it may seem a big deal and the hype and numbers of deaths is worrying but it honestly is like having the flu and running a marathon. Many more people die of the common flu, most of us here will be fine, we will recover soon and be able to return to normal day life. The people who are dying of this have very weak immune systems and have underline health conditions. Just like common flu. It’s because it’s spreading faster we are seeing these numbers. If you are scared of getting it; and are healthy and young you shouldn’t be. I was worried when I first found out I had it but like I say, it’s honestly like a bad case of flu. It hits you hard but if you hang in there it should go within a week or so. But I understand people’s concerns. But just thought I’d share my story 🙋🏼♂️

Ronk 14,930
I have been hearing predictions from doctors of between 1 and 2 million deaths from corona just in the USA. Worldwide, probably upwards of 50 million. I live outside the space time continuum.
joannesrats 26
Y'all there's no need to panic over this number - there are going to be many, many more cases reported as testing becomes more widely available.
ARTPOPSYCHOLOGY 6,283
More cases are good, actually. It means more people are being tested. The deaths (Albeit awful) luckily seem to be at the same rate (and most likely are overstated in the media right now) Per cases diagnosed. I’m just more afraid of having the chance of having it currently. I haven’t been in any large groups or crowds since 3 weeks ago. But was working in my office (albeit with not a lot of people) until this past Thursday. Not leaving the house though going forward. I feel 100% but apparently it takes 14 days to show symptoms. If I still feel fine by the end of next week I’m hoping I’m in the clear.
ice bear 1
Okay but i think it's important for us to remember that these new cases were infected before, we just didn't know about them and didn't collect data, this apparent exponential growth can only lead to panic, and end up making it worse @ChromatiGa please, if you could put something like this in the OP it would be nice ice heard one side from above
