"Battle for you life" is part of the hook for "Babylon"

People are literally battling for their lives right now.

Should she avoid releasing this as a single/promo single?

I really don't think people will even notice / care. Plus, the lyrics aren't about literally trying to survive. They're about working your a** off and not letting others bother you, and proving people wrong.

No.

This is just like the idiotic people who were crying about Die Young by Ke$ha being on the radio after the school shooting in CT in 2012.

Are you serious? :lmao:

Let’s put a positive spin on it shall we? How about people will use the song as anthem to keep their spirit up?

Why the pessimistic outlook, damn! :lmao:

Well I think Sam Smith postponed their album “To Die For” because of the inappropriate title at this time, but that’s an album title and not just a lyric embedded inside a song.

I doubt it will be a single (Ariana one is next, right?) but I 100% know what you mean. Depends on the rest of the song though.

What we are not going to do is start censoring speech because it might be “interpreted” in as inappropriate or offensive. Gaga has never been about limiting or censoring her art, so who cares. It’s just a phrase :saladga:
