I felt like the first half of the album is mainly for hardcore fans, the second one is for the GP

YUP!

There’s something for everyone in this album.

And when you say my name, like white horses on the waves, I think it feels the same, as an ocean in my veins.

I mean it’s better to listen to an album in order.

I was so excited for this album....but that was rather disappointing. I only liked six songs and they're all the singles. Never thought the album would be very trap-influenced. I'm gonna listen to it again tho.

EDIT: Disappointing's a little too strong of a word. I'd say it's a little underwhelming.

Well Abel’s discography is very trap-influenced and urban for the most part, has been since the beginning, even more so in his earliest stuff.

Abel <3 I've been waiting 4 years. Finally.

I'm on my second listen of the album already

I like the album a lot. Maybe track 2 and 3 not so much, and some boring/repeating parts some places.

I think my top 3 (excluding singles and tv performances) are:

- Alone Again

- Faith

- Repeat After Me

And Scare To Live is made for radio tbh. I see it topping the charts. And In Your Eyes.

edit: Which is good I mean they are good songs. But I prefer the "real" The Weeknd soul.

First listen reactions

The transition and second half of Alone Again:tony:

Too Late and Hardest to Love are good too

Scared to Live is a classic (but now I get what some of you said about the live version being better)

A bit disappointed with Snowchild and Escape from LA I was expecting so much

Heartless is good but not one of the highlights for the album for me

Mother******* ending of Faith and beginning of Blinding Lights

serie punta GIF by Mediaset España

Faith + Blinding Lights + In Your Eyes + Save Your Tears:bradley::bradley:

I'll skip the interlude from now on:ladyhaha:

After Hours remains my favourite of the whole album and second half is better than first. Until I Bleed Out works fine as closing track

My favourites are: After Hours, Blinding Lights, In Your Eyes, Save Your Tears, Alone Again

Not his best album but he keeps on releasing damn good ones

Yeah, but it's not also just the trap beats that threw me off a bit, I wasn't a fan of the effects they put in his vocals for the first five songs.

These are the songs I liked and loved:

1. Escape From LA

2. Scared To Live

3. In Your Eyes (best song in the album followed by Blinding Lights)

4. Blinding Lights

5. After Hours

6.  Save Your Tears

I actually enjoyed six songs, not three.  :laughga:

Just went to r/TheWeeknd and a lot of the users disliked the album. Guess it really is a fanbase thing huh :laughga:

If they were expecting pop/disco like Blinding Lights then it's not surprising. Ignore them, not real fans :ohwell:
