Blinding Lights really IS the album's peak.

I like Heartless, Faith and (oddly) Escape From LA. I want to like In Your Eyes but I'm not warming up to it after quite a few listens. It has an amaze instrumental, but lyrically I was just like 'meh'.

I'm slightly underwhelmed at how repetitive a lot of it sounds. I expected better.

Oh wow I'm a little surprised by what it sounds like.. the entire album gives me a synth Tame Impala concert vibe.. very trippy "after hours" indeed.. then around heartless it becomes a bit more hip hop and starboy (In Your Eyes sounds like I Feel It Coming to me), but goes back to very tame.

I was expecting more Blinding Lights bops, so little bummed about that, but still a very interesting album.

I took the time to really dig into this album and it still left me wondering why it has so much praise and streams.

I mean... it's okay, but all the songs before Blinding Lights (track 9) felt like a huge, long, same song (with the exception of Scared To Live). Scared To Live, Blinding Lights and Save Your Tears are my only standouts. After Hours (the song) has a very interesting production and twist to it... but that's just about it.

But the overall production of the album is so clean and well put-together.

Second half of the album is superior to the first one, but overall nice album. 7/8 out of 10.

Cohesive I must admit.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Tops : Blinding Lights, After Hours, Heartless, Faith, Alone Again, In Your Eyes

Middles: Save Your Tears, Hardest To Love, Scared To Live,Too Late

Bottoms: Snow Child, Escape From LA, Repeat After Me, Until I Bleed Out

Overall I love the album but some tracks are growers and some are bops

It's pretty plain and boring in my book... The only songs that really stood out were: After Hours and Blinding Lights. The rest of the album is just same old Weeknd but lazier, the lyrics are okay-ish, instrumentals are busy but lacking flavour.

Wolf Boy

It’s a poor mans Star Boy.

A few decent tracks but overall really lacking strong hooks imo.

Battle 4 Ur Life

to me it’s his best album.

After Hours. Hardest To Love, Faith and Save Your Tears...
