From all the comments here I thought it was gonna be fire :ladyhaha:

Im a huge The Weeknd fan, but Starboy remains his latest (and I repeat latest) best album still.

Production still top quality, voice still amazing, the mood and aesthetic still 80s-ish, everything always on point but no songs are memorable or special to me. Melodies in every chorus and verses are pretty underwhelming, familiar and a snoozefest. I'm not a fan of Blinding Lights but it's much more different from every song on this album, with a chorus that actually has an impact, I don't like the chorus but it's memorable at least.

Everyone mentioned In Your Eyes, it's decent, but not my favorite. Everything is a lot of aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh aaaaaaaaaaaah ouuuuuuuuuuh with synthetizer so it kinda made me sleepy

The only song I really liked though was Scared to Live, very beautiful. The beginning reminded me of a 60s song (lazy to find it)

"This isn't Starboy"

Well The Weeknd has never been Starboy in the first place. He's very RnB and slow beats etc. like on trilogy, his latest EP and this album minus Blinding Lights.

Huge fan since the original mixtapes. I think My Dear Melancholy, was better. Vocals are better than ever and album has a good sound, lyrics and melodies feel uninspired for the most part. 7/10.

Faith is something else... Whenever I listen to this song, I just start crying and I let everything out that I've been holding back. I'm crying right now and then when I finish crying, I just listen to it again and again and think of all of the other things I could have done in life..

I prefer it to Starboy and it's probably on par with Beauty Behind The Madness. As always, he has some really amazing tracks, like Heartless, Scared to Live, Hardest to Love and Faith and then lets me down with more mediocre tracks like In Your Eyes and Save Your Tears. I don't know why someone who makes such deep, confessional, dark-sounding tracks would suddenly want to make forgettable poppy stuff. As always, half his album stuns me, the other half is more take it or leave it. But it's slightly to the better side, so it's the first truly above average album I've heard so far this year. Took long enough. Heartless is still that song. I'm so glad it at least went #1 in America, even if nowhere else truly appreciated it as much.

Hardest to Love is so raw to hear for me right now. I'm in that girl's situation. :messga:

The album is good but a little same-y, my favorite songs are Alone Again and After Hours, their production is such a SLAY he snappedT.
