StrawberryBlond 14,819
God, the nostalgia. I remember when she released this and was only 13. Pretty cool that she re-worked the lyrics as well as she did. The last bridge was particularly funny. But I just wish all these celebrities stopped acting like absolutely everyone is able to stay inside. Some people have no option to work because they're in "essential industries" like working in supermarkets (the most obvious service we still need) and some people are single parents and/or living on the breadline and have no option but to work or be out on the streets. Then they'll definitely not be able to stay inside! People are continuing to work because they know they'll be dealing with the economic fallout if they don't. Luckily, a lot of businesses are doing the right thing and closing and hopefully, compensating employees. But for those self-employed, they're wondering what to do. Sure, some people are going out for selfish reasons but most of us don't have servants to buy our food, run our errands, walk our dogs, check in on family, etc. Virus or not, people still have to live responsible adult lives. Staying in's easy if you've got someone to do all your outside business for you. Most of us don't have that luxury.

But the thing is that is obvious Why would you take it personally when you know that the "stay home" thing does not apply to you. Obviously we don't want someone to stay home if that is going to make them starve It shouldn't really need discussing that these "campaigns" are directed at those who refuse to stay in out of negligence and not necessity. chaeri pls

I wasn't taking it personally, just pointing out that quite a few celebrities are acting like there's no level of exception and anyone going out is selfish and they're getting called out on it. I think a lot of them are making these kinda posts for attention because no one's fussed about celebrities right now and they have to stay relevant (not saying' JoJo's one, just calling it like I see it).
