your daily reports are fine. they just dont report on any urgent situation in the US, where the festival happened.

people listen way more to their local authorities, whether federal, states, or cities. On march 4, its just normal that people in the US were not taking directives from the WHO organization, who was reporting mainly on big uncontextualized worldwide numbers and about China.

WHO aka World Health Organization only shared real info and considering USA are in the World then it also applies to them. High global risk is high global risk. Also what's up with you protecting this festival and it's goers? :oprah: Where you there? Organizers and people who attended are to blame including everyone who didn't care about the situation.. That guy even said he was well aware of what was happening in the world but he still decided to go saying that if gets the virus he'll make sure to spread it.. You're wrong.

@Fish so? Where is me blaming gay people? :oprah:

you were not targeting directly gay people, and thats cool, but others are in this thread and im not here for it.

my point with you is that on March 4 and the following days a lot of people were unaware, the authorities in the US were very slow to react.

In my view, it is more useful and accurate to balme the authorities, rather than the people who at the beggining of March, were going business as usual, like the rest of the country.

No but it speaks volume about people in general when it comes to ignoring these kinds of situations. There are actually people who knew and still went there.

My point is: at this point in time, the situation in the US was completely different, and information available regarding the US situation was not the same.  It is only natural that some people did not view the situation as urgent as it is now. People are human, and they are ignorant sometimes, learning as this situation unfolds. This is unprecedented. You cant blame everyone for "gathering" when their country and local authorities were in the same "indifferent" state of mind, that's all.

Still not here for people saying the gays needs to get their **** together, implying that gays are reacting worst than the straights, which is so not true and just based on their own preconceived ideas about the "gays".

People saying they deserve to get coronavirus is just hateful for no reason. Do people having sex without protection deserve to get HIV? Of course they shouldve known better, but to "deserve" deadly or dangerous diseases? I just think this point of view lacks compassion and understanding for people's personal situations. We will need those during this time of crisis, and its not the time to point fingers at whole "communities" for one party that went ahead, but to take this situation seriously going forward, and help each other out.

I really do hope I conveyed by point of view in a respectful manner. No hate towards you.

Me too because she’d be outraged by the ignorance of some people attending the event.

I understand you. I still think people who were out and partying at the time should be blamed BUT I do respect you because you were nice and respectful and I truly appreciate that.
