That still doesnt make oke for you to hate on the entire gay community and its oke to critize your own community but atleast try to do in a more civil manner

You literally don’t even know what “hate” means. This is just one of the many incidents and issues the gay community is facing that they need to address. We need major reform. I can give you a list of things we need to work on as a community. And they fully had the decision to attend or not attend, so we can NOT solely blame the organizer. We’ve been warned for several weeks now to be cautious and have good hygiene, avoid large crowds, etc.

They had an additional response: :flop:

Now he trying to backpedal cuz he getting a ton of hate on Twitter I'm sure...he probably now realized he sounded like an ignorant a$$ :smh:

Official closures and quarantines or not...an intelligent and considerate human being would know a festival that looks like the pic in the OP with people herded like cattle, kissing, hugging, touching, (probably f#cking) during a GLOBAL pandemic is NOT the best place to be at regardless of the cause, charity, group, etc...no excuse and hes only apologizing cuz of online hate

This event ENDED on March 10th. That’s about the time that Americans started waking up. There were numerous conferences, parties, and gatherings before this date.

If anyone should be blamed for this, it should be the administration for encouraging people to continue business as usual and not even trying to prepare our country until it was way too late.

The festival started March 4.

On march 4, the situation was:

- no state of emergency declared (declared on March 13)

- only 158 cases in the whole US declared

I have a problem with posts targeting the whole gay community as a whole. Those posts imply that gays still continue to party and dont care at all about the events, which is simply not true. I just want to set the facts straight, and that people have a little more compassion within their own community.

No it doesn't.. It implies that people (people including white, black ,gay, lesbian, old, young,...) are really ignorant and don't care (enough) about their well being and well being of people around them.

Not only do you not know the definition of hate, but you also misconstrue what I said on the first page to dramatically falsify my initial statement. I said they (the people who attended the event regardless of our crisis) deserve it. Stop twisting words. I did not say the entire gay community.

And to top it off, that person is a medical professional. He should've known better. I hope all of his patients switch providers.

As if I’m surprised that someone who attended the white party would act this way after backlash

girl, you said:

"They deserve it. The gay community needs to seriously get its sh*t together."

implying the whole gay community is indifferent, insensitive or somehow not caring about  the situation, continuing to party to this date, which is simply not true.

I have a problem with posts targeting the gay community as a whole. Those posts imply that gays still continue to party and dont care at all about the events, which is simply not true. They rely on preconceived ideas about the gays that are dangerous and hurtful.  I just want to set the facts straight, and that people have a little more compassion and understanding within their own community.

Also I'm sorry but MAIN reason those people were there was to party so let's not act like they were there for some saint reason.. Party is not THAT important.. It's a festival and they should have known better - not targeting LGBTQ community but everyone who attended.
