I cannot agree or disagree with the data, which yes, shows cases peaked and went down. Although I'm not familiar with how much testing is being done in Iran. They've instructed social distancing and have closed things down, however. The Islamic Republic is the Middle Eastern country worst-affected by the COVID-19 respiratory disease and has been struggling to curb the spread of the infection. But the government is also concerned that measures to limit public activities could wreck an economy which has already been battered by sanctions. High-risk businesses including theatres, swimming pools, saunas, beauty salons, schools, shopping centres and restaurants have yet to re-open. Schools and universities remain closed, and a ban on cultural, religious and sports gatherings has been imposed. Iran is also likely to ban all public events marking the holy Muslim fasting month of Ramadan which starts in late April. Yet health authorities have repeatedly complained that many Iranians have ignored appeals to stay at home, warning of a second wave of the outbreak. The death toll in Iran has reached 4,357 with 70,029 infected cases. “If people become arrogant over the relatively better situation now and disregard anti-corona health measures ... we will surely face a hard and heavy phase (of the disease),” Health Minister Saeed Namaki said on state TV. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-iran/iran-renews-coronavirus-warning-as-low-risk-activities-re-start-idUSKCN21T0AO

Are you saying that the life of an American / european is more important than the life of an African? And I never talked about death rates caused by bad economy. I've said "victims". As it is already reported, some people suffer more than others because of the lockdowns, the domestic abuse of women and children is on the rise, people already struggle with food supplies, suicides will probably go up and all because of the LOCKDOWNS. The BAD ECONOMY is another discussion. And the catch is that the victims wont be counted. No one will count a victim of today situation that dies 5 years from now because of something that happens today. There are already opinions that the number of deaths for this year wont be different. If a pandemic cant show up in these kind of statistics, how do you expect that the effects of a bad economy can show up? Of course not, we were discussing unemployment in the US. Look at the thread topic. Yes, there are some unfortunate consequences of lockdowns. The other alternative is widespread death, a complete breakdown of our hospitals and endangering our healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, paramedics and first responders. Also, children are losing their parent or parents to this virus. The virus is creating single family households and orphans. Younger adults that are in the hospital, especially the ICU will owe thousands of dollars in medical bills and possibly end up with long term lung complications. What? The number of deaths reported per month are already much higher in all the hot spots and high risk areas.

It's embarrassing that we have to keep educating and correcting you. Of course the path of deaths in curve will be the same when there's an upward AND downward trend. You're literally seeing the downward trend right now.................... There isnt a real expert with this, as people said multiple times. What you show doesnt really show the efficiency of a measure against another measure. I dont know how to explain this again?
