If I'm right HIH was #113 (#13 on this chart), I could be wrong though

It was #110, #10 on Bubbling Under.

I'm an average Katy fan and own some of her records, and I didn't even take the time to listen to the song yet... that's how excited I am

This is so shocking how much of a 180 her career did after Witness. I mean this woman was so massive. Was the Witness era that bad? Enough for the GP to completely lose interest in her? Like that much? Not even her fans seem to be interested? It just seems like she can’t do anything right and it’s so sad.

Guys it came out on a Thursday

It had only 1 day of streams and sales that counted

Can we be fair? I know Katy Flops w lot these days but Gaga would chart low too if she released it on a Thursday

Maybe not bubbling under but she'd also chart really low

This is the Friday to Thursday week AFTER. So it had 7 days of selling to do this numbers :rip:

She didn't even come close to charting from her first day.

Unfortunately for Katy that isnt how the chart works. Songs that went recurrent after falling past #50 on the Hot 100 can’t chart on the Bubbling Under. So instead of Never Worn White being #112 its more like its #150 or something

poor that

NRO was doing pretty well, but miss Katy really had to release Small Talk and not only did that stop NRO's momentum, but the song was so bad, the GP, yet again, lost interest in her. It was too late when she released HIH (which could've been a hit). NWW never sounded like a ballad that could chart (unlike Lose You To Love Me). It never climaxed and it was just really boring compared to her other ballads.

NRO and HIH could've been hits tbh.

I like enough Katy, but I don't like this song, listened to it two times, one on the MV and one live, never felt the urge to stream it, so it is understandable for me.

She will do better next time I'm sure.

I'm not even being insincere anymore when I say I feel sorry for her. Because it would be one thing if she was releasing awful music and not charting, I'd say that was deserved. But she's releasing good music and not charting. That's painful, especially a song like this, that clearly means so much to her. Ballads have never been Katy's strongest selling point but this had an amazing selling point - the vehicle with which she announced her pregnancy. That was enough to get the fans and public rocking up to the video at a faster rate than Small Talk and HiH for sure. It was even enough to get her to 1 million likes super fast, which neither of her previous singles could do. She even got to 1 million likes faster than Stupid Love. But then the views fell away fast, now everyone knows she's pregnant and the video isn't even eventful. It's concerning that she has more likes at this stage than SL had, yet SL peaked at #5 but NWW can't even make it onto the top 100. That's extremely strange. Are people liking it just as a way to congratulate her on pregnancy but not actually liking it? If ever there was a moment for her fan support to come back, it's now. Literally, where are her fans? It's not like the Witness era, where all the fans have already bought the album and it's now up to the public to buy the singles, she's just releasing stand-alone single after stand-alone single and no one cares. Granted, fans tend to support this kinda stuff less but not "can't even get onto the top 100" less. It's ironic that just as Katy has started to release some of the best music of her career, in my opinion, is when the fans and public deserted her. A genuine crying shame.

So Twitter drags Stupid Love for dropping to 30 on its second week and yet their favorite Americas Got Talent presenter can't even crack top 10 on the Bubbling UNDER with a pregnancy gimmick? There are no words. There is really no comparison. It is 2020 and the cream has risen. Please stop comparing Lady ****ing Gaga, a legendary superstar, to a forgotten early 2010s bubblegum singer.

It's harsh but true. It's unthinkable how an international superstar with all these hits and successful tours, along with currently being on a tv show right now and announcing their pregnancy in a video can't even chart. It's beyond me why anyone is still comparing them with Katy to any degree, even Katy's blindest superfans. Clearly, they've left in droves too. I said in another thread that Katy truly is the Paula Abdul of her generation (had a run of massive hits and #1's and then fell off the map, never to be seen again). She's even on America's Got Talent, like Paula was! If she still keeps releasing albums and keeps trucking regardless, she'll be like a Cyndi Lauper, which is a bit more of a favourable comparison. But the fact is that this happens all the time in the industry. We're just led to believe today that everyone's entitled to stay around forever if they have a few hit albums. It's never been that way. Having success after over a decade in the industry is a route for a select few.
