Twitter 14
It basically boils down to whether fans want new music or new music and number success. Dua Lipa and The Weeknd albums are coming out before Gaga’s so we’ll see.

Genuine Guy 09 13,941
At this point it doesn't make sense to not postpone the album. I have absolutely no idea why people want to sabotage their own fave Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

Not everything is about sales. We are not Interscope, her success or lack of affects us in no way whatsoever.
Killa 17,476
we have the excuse of the leak for stupid bomb and we have excuse of closed borders plus wrong time for album we cannot flop in this environment.. She wont have big numbers right off the bat, but she consistently sells well. so. And she just needs to find strategy for streaming, sorry but it's not impossible. Dont care if she spams the internet, uses ha boy, find a way, asap
Chromaticunt 5,529
I feel like times like these really separate the real fans from the fair-weather fans. I bet everybody saying she should postpone to maximise sales completely dropped her ass during the ARTPOP era.

The fans want to be able to enjoy the album at clubs and parties, we want a full and proper era after waiting 4 years. There’s no reason to not delay the album. I’m sure gaga also wants her fans to go out and enjoy the music too, not to mention if she delays it she has more time to plans things out. Also, nobody is mentioning that she constantly delayed LG5, LG6, singles, mv etc. Even C2C was delayed like 3 times. And now she’s actually going to still release during a pandemic when all she has to do it push it a few weeks to May?

And with all due respect I don't think the vast majority of little postponers want her to delay it because they want to dance to her music in clubs. They want her to have commercial success because that means more to them than the music. Simple facts.

And I’m pretty sure everybody here wants a proper era and to be able to enjoy the music regardless of if you care about sales or not. Also simple facts. whore 11,447
Even if not everyone goes out and buys the physical copy for the first few weeks after the release, this will cause her streaming numbers to rise. This is an area that she was initially weaker in. I think they could take advantage of the self-quarantine this way. Her streaming numbers sky-rocket for the album's release, and then pure sales will continue to trickle that will result in the album having longevity on the charts rather than having a huge first week and plummeting from there. Also simple facts What are you saying, you think Gaga should postpone it to May? That's probably going to be the peak of the virus when it's even worse than now. And we were clearly going to have a very minimal era in terms of promotion regardless of the virus. If you think we were ever going to get a "proper era" like in 2011 then that's just a bit delusional.
zakariah 11,718
those who want the album to be delayed just want her to do well on the charts so that they can brag about how 'gaga got another 250k debut in the streaming era when your fave can't even get 90k' like who cares just enjoy the era and listen to the album, or have you guys not been incessantly begging and whining for her to release 'an actual pop album' for like 7 years now? China has already almost cleared up all its cases not to mention it will be harder for the virus to survive in the warmer months. And no I was never expecting a full era like BTW lmao. What I meant was at least more promo and effort than what we got during Joanne but even that seems unlikely now
Guest ARTPOPSlays
Honestly, if the album is postponed I think that goes against its message. This album is all about dancing through the pain and finding hope in the harder times. This album is exactly what we need right now. And Gaga is a bold enough and confident enough artist to not push back an album due to something like this. It definitely won’t effect sales. People don’t really care about physical sales these days, which she’s already sold a ton of from the preorder. If anything, I feel like more people will be streaming. We’re not living in the 1800’s guys. We have internet, everyone will know Gaga put out an album, maybe even more due to more people being on their phones and devices due to not having to work or anything else. It’s not like we have to leave our houses and grab the daily news paper to find out she put out an album. If anything, releasing during all of this will shed some light towards the world. Gaga’s success will be just fine, she’s Gaga
