Smother Em Eh 7,135
The shift from The Fame Era to the Born This Way era was quite the transition. She really completely reinvented her image. This was not only her first huge transition but probably one of the biggest transitions from a pop girl. She COMPLETELY changed her image, aesthetic, sound, & style from TF/TFM Eras. She literally went from this To This Her visuals were much darker too From this To this And her sound went from light & bubbly electro pop/ euro pop/ r n b pop To dark pop, techno and house Don’t forget her street style/ fashion too From this To this What a transformation. A completely different direction from The Fame. This transition proved she was a true iconic artist and was here to stay! Thoughts? Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views! Zombiecat 16,933
you kinda missed the transition from TF - TFM - BTW tho the end of the fame she became way more edgy and fashionable and it kinda evolved naturally imo do the dead cats
Twitter 14
The Fame - The Fame Monster was better.
NFRatwell 23,290
It’s like she got constantly darker with her music and visuals. Having Paparazzi as the transition Single was a great idea as it was the darkest song on TF too, can you imagine if she actually ended the era with Summerboy but yeah, I love the transitioning
pop ate my heart 2,865
TFM is an entire album, era and artistic movement on its own, with its own aesthetic and themes. It's frustrating when they put TF and TFM on the same category. Even Gaga counts them as two completely different projects. And the dark imagery was actually at its peak in TFM. BTW is very lighthearted in terms of message am i-e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i-e-i-p-plastic
Gracious Gaga 17,163
Gurl . did u forget about TFM?? that album/era is the reason the transition was what it was . ♥ Kindness Police.

If she hadn't broken her hip and had to disappear for a bit, I'm sure you could do this with BTW 🔜 AP transition.

FfFfFfFF 56,249
The transition felt so substantial yet smooth. From a simpler TF to a heavier and darker TFM to the quirky BTW it all felt gradual.

Well they’re making it seem like TFM never even happened. OP only shows visuals from either TF and BTW but no acknowledgment of what happened in between- which WAS HER PEAK. ♥ Kindness Police. I do believe TFM is its own record but I just wanted to do a transition from TF to BTW to showcase how she went from light from the start and then dark and edgy with her third album. RochestrMonstr 3,230
TF to TFM was definitely a big enough change to be mentioned all on its own. TFM was where the darkness started that led into BTW.
