So you can have as much access to fantastic healthcare as you want but if a large portion of your population already has lung issues then no amount of medical care is going to prevent infection or grow a surplus of hospital beds. Norway wants to be shady but they’re not realizing they’ve set up their population to POTENTIALLY feel the severe side effects of the virus Again, post is about a viral disease which needs proper health service for the citizens to overcome, which would be incredibly difficult to find in USA in comparison to Norway. Post is not about smoking habits of Norwegians . If you wanna attack Norway because of them telling a fact - go on. But you can open another thread and discuss Norwegian smoking habits. This post is completely unrelated to your argument. Smoker or non-smokers, everyone who is affected by the virus needs a proper treatment right now which is possible in Norway and not so much in USA. Have a good day and please stay safe ❤️

Same states have an obesity rate +30%. And same states are the ones with less access to healthcare. +50% of US adults have health problems (mostly hypertension and obesity). So, the average Norwegian is probably healthier than the average American But does Alabama or Louisiana represent the United States as a whole ? No —- mad someone mentioned earlier the obesity rate in Norway is not that different than the United States (26% vs 32%) and cardiovascular disease is still the number one killer in the country ... so the countries aren’t vastly different nor in the respect that Norway still requires payment for some aspects of their healthcare system including visits and treatment by general practitioners In my opinion the United States falls behind on things like our belief in still promoting neonatal circumcision, the mess that is our birth system, it’s over abundance of prescription drugs etc but let’s all stop pretending like it’s some hot mess — otherwise we wouldn’t have so many people banging at your doors to have a seat at the table (or Canadians crossing to the United States to seek medical treatment they’d die waiting for in Canada .. ahem)

Alabama and Louisiana have almost 5 million EACH. So we can totally compare them to a country of the same population. pooiota
