netoschultz 0
Hmm, I thought it was the South American media that was negative towards Gaga but positive of Madonna (remember those Brazilian radio hosts who said that she was flopping in Brazil and made incorrect statements about how many tickets she'd sold?) I certainly didn't hear about refunds in Chile - though I'd heard about Madonna being rude to fans there. No doubt this is going to be the last time that she'll sell as well in South America. This tour already made considerably less money there compared to Sticky Anmd Sweet. Well, for ice hocky, it has a 18,890 capacity and for basketball, it has a a 19,700 capacity. So, how would a concert deplete the number by between 2,000 and 5,000? That doesn't make any sense. Concert configurations in these venues are usually about 700 less than the basketball capacity what with the space that the stage takes up. The number has been 19,000 for concerts on Wikipedia for years - if it was wrong, it would have been changed by now. However, I just looked up the official site and its claiming just over 14,000 for end stage concerts. If there were just over 14,000 people at that venue, I'll eat my hat. It certainly looks like 19,000 in the pictures and videos. I say the figure stays the way it is until the official figures come in. The show's over now, so there's no point deliberating. And I can't for the life of me think why the Asian gross came out wrong. It was the first continent to come through and it was claimed that the overall gross was $67 million. I didn't have to add it up to verify it because they were the first figures to come through and the overall figure just needed to be copied and pasted. This has been the figure for months. It was there before I became the official manager of this thread. And all this time nobody questioned it?! Looking at it now, it's so obvious that it was wrong and the current gross dosn't match up with those numbers. Talk about a grave mistake. So disappointed with the actual numbers now, thinking they were so much more. Well... idk.. Rogers Arena Vancouver 28,500 (2 shows) - Madonna Rogers Arena Vancouver 31,766 (2 shows) - Coldplay Rogers Arena Vancouver 13,159 (1 show) - Roger Waters Rogers Arena Vancouver 14,423 (1 show) - Justin Bieber Can you also fix this? Total Gross: $23,691,507 The total gross for oceania is $27.387.784 I just assumed that those shows weren't sold out, particularly the double dates. I'll edit it in as the evidence seems overwhelming. And yes, the Oceania gross was wrong too. I don't know what the hell's been going on the past couple of months to continuously get the wrong information.

StefJAGermanotta 2
Yeah I guess that could be it! Do you know if any other fans complained about the sound quality from prior performances? I don't know if it's just specific to Madonna.

I might be wrong but I always thought the number of standing spaces in General Admission is equal to the number of seating spaces there would be if seats were there instead (and in some venues the tickets show hypothetical seating places) for safety or whatever. The result is that when there is standing the back third of the floor always empty.

I don't know, but you have a point, but I saw the MDNA tour boxscore, the number of people who attended in the arena shows is always between 12k-14k, even in arenas that holds more than 20k for concerts (like the Philips Arena, that hold 20k and only 13k attended, and the show was "sold out")
cdparky 164
I've been to a festival at Hyde Park before and the sound was fine - but I was up front. I think the sound is poor at the back. A lot of big names perform there, it's actually a pretty legendary venue. It's fine if you are up front directly in front of the speakers. Other than that it's a waste of time. We saw New Order support Blur there, standing about half-way back and we could barely even hear it. Up the front for Blur there was no problem at all. It's an awful place for a venue, thankfully with Live Nation bailing out of Hyde Park the risk of Gaga ever playing there is greatly reduced. Worst open air venue in London. StefJAGermanotta 2
There you go. At the festival I went to I know people were pissed off about the sound at the back. Thanks, glad Gaga won't be performing there. I don't think she would even without the issues of LiveNation since she cares about the sound quality so much. I have no idea why NA hasn't sold out by now compared to Asia, Oceania, Europe.
