Harry 26,836
Really 1200, that's REALLY DIRE! It was reported 600 so perhaps when people were finding out that you can complain, more signed up for possibility of refunds. Do you know if they got refunded in the end? I mean, paying 400 USD to be insulted, then waiting over 3.5 hours in the rain, for a 1 hour show, it's not right. Worse than I even thought! Glad to hear that in Argentina people were much happier with Gaga, I don't think MDNA was as disastrous in your country than in Chile and the UK. What happened to it in the UK? StefJAGermanotta 2
What happened to it in the UK? Hundreds walked out due to poor sound (not Madonna's fault, but who would even perform at Hyde Park in the first place), and lack of back category hits, even though it's MDNA tour (also not Madonna's fault), so I think the audience is not liking her new material. http://metro.co.uk/2012/07/18/madonna-fans-walk-out-of-london-hyde-park-gig-despite-s-xy-striptease-499203/
StrawberryBlond 14,254
I have no clue myself, but regardless of the numbers, the South American media was very negative about Madonna's treatment of fans especially in Santiago. Did not over 600 demanded refunds through their Government policy? That's really bad press. I think this would sour S. America for Madonna in the future. At the opposite extreme, S. American press was VERY positive towards Gaga's friendliness and amazing performance. Again, watching the media with only 5% knowledge of Spanish and 0% Portuguese, I can tell from the attitude of the fans the reporters interviewed as to which fans were disgusted and which ones were thrilled. Hmm, I thought it was the South American media that was negative towards Gaga but positive of Madonna (remember those Brazilian radio hosts who said that she was flopping in Brazil and made incorrect statements about how many tickets she'd sold?) I certainly didn't hear about refunds in Chile - though I'd heard about Madonna being rude to fans there. No doubt this is going to be the last time that she'll sell as well in South America. This tour already made considerably less money there compared to Sticky Anmd Sweet. Sorry for quote this.. but idk if you are here.. so at least it appers in your notifications.. Can you fix this? NORTH AMERICAN LEG JANUARY 11 - VANCOUVER - Rogers Arena - SOLD OUT - 19,000/19,000 (100%) JANUARY 12 - VANCOUVER - Rogers Arena - SOLD OUT - 19,000/19,000 (100%) The capacity for concerts is around 14.000-16.000 in Rogers Arena Can you fix this too? Total Gross: $67,200,000 The Total Gross for Asian Leg is 43,910,405 Well, for ice hocky, it has a 18,890 capacity and for basketball, it has a a 19,700 capacity. So, how would a concert deplete the number by between 2,000 and 5,000? That doesn't make any sense. Concert configurations in these venues are usually about 700 less than the basketball capacity what with the space that the stage takes up. The number has been 19,000 for concerts on Wikipedia for years - if it was wrong, it would have been changed by now. However, I just looked up the official site and its claiming just over 14,000 for end stage concerts. If there were just over 14,000 people at that venue, I'll eat my hat. It certainly looks like 19,000 in the pictures and videos. I say the figure stays the way it is until the official figures come in. The show's over now, so there's no point deliberating. And I can't for the life of me think why the Asian gross came out wrong. It was the first continent to come through and it was claimed that the overall gross was $67 million. I didn't have to add it up to verify it because they were the first figures to come through and the overall figure just needed to be copied and pasted. This has been the figure for months. It was there before I became the official manager of this thread. And all this time nobody questioned it?! Looking at it now, it's so obvious that it was wrong and the current gross dosn't match up with those numbers. Talk about a grave mistake. So disappointed with the actual numbers now, thinking they were so much more.
GagaSlayedYou 2
In Latin America (where I live) the people really hated Madonna, because of Chile's show, and the last show, in Cordoba, the people didn't matter about the blackout, but then, some of them, had really bad problems because people werent able to go away from the stadium, till 4 am. And the press judged her because in every show was too late. But, the press loved Gaga, every tv channel interviewing a lot of little monsters, about their outfits and deliberations, and followed her in the hotels, and a lot of things. And, everybody knows about how graceful was Gaga to play in those stadiums. And she enjoyed this continent. Probably, we wont have more Madonna's tour anymore, but Gaga's, im sure she will come back. Yep, this is Sernac's official website, that's the ministry where people asked for refunds: http://www.sernac.cl/sernac-oficio-a-productora-tras-concierto-de-madonna-en-chile/ It says they asked Time For Fun (T4F) Chile an explanation for the lateness but it seems there are no refunds so far. Maybe they need time to start an investigation...

Maybe initially negative re:Gaga sales and positive re:Madonna sales (i did see news coverage of flagging Gaga sales). But after both played out, it was the below as per @GagaSlayedYou . Proves the power of Gaga performance! In Latin America (where I live) the people really hated Madonna, because of Chile's show, and the last show, in Cordoba, the people didn't matter about the blackout, but then, some of them, had really bad problems because people werent able to go away from the stadium, till 4 am. Gaga will be back, she loves South America, even got tattoo Rio of fans' signature! Yep, this is Sernac's official website, that's the ministry where people asked for refunds: http://www.sernac.cl...donna-en-chile/ It says they asked Time For Fun (T4F) Chile an explanation for the lateness but it seems there are no refunds so far. Perhaps acts can have concerts during the day time, so you can crank up the volume? I think the issue is not disturbing residents near bedtime?
