We can already consider Tacoma as a flop, I guess :noparty:

there's a reason madonna performed in a smaller venue @ the same city

i think in this case she should begin in Oceania in Jan/Feb if she is planning on doing Mid-size stadiums(i don't think gaga can do much than that, step by step imo)

then follow up in March to Asia and do a very similar leg than what she did there with TBTWB with maybe some larger venues here and there(Tokyo Dome is the main objective for everybody and i agree, Saitama was a complete SLAY)

then She COULD start in April/May/June either Europe or NA or July/August/September Europe Or NA

Then she could do Latin America in oct/Nov(ticket sales should start in april/may TOPS

Then she should do Africa and her first visit to Middle East

that if she is in fact planning on doing outdoor venues for NA,

So, you think doing first arena shows and then stadium shows in North America would help if she's embarking on a stadium doing? I haven't thought of that, but if she really does an arena leg in North America firstly, she should do a minimum of shows, otherwise people won't be visiting the tour again.

I think I have now an idea what that grossing sh*t is all about. The numbers we are trying to look at are in a way important, and I think they describe Gaga as an artist in a way.

The whole idea with a world tour like Born This Way turned out to look this way. Gaga went into territories with huge demand and relatively high ticket price at first (Asia + Oceania). The cash flow she generated with the first concerts compensated all the sots (logistics, transportation, maybe wages for all the team) and gave her enough free money which she could invest into exploring new Europe territories!

The ticket prices in some EU countries seemed to be wildly low, and I think Gaga's management investment from the over-the-top gross from ASIA+OCEANIA leg gross allowed them to take a chance and explore the new territory, knowing that the gross may be not high enough even to cover the costs of bringing the tour there.

Then she again generates cash from successful EU dates, and after paying Live Nation their share, Gaga has money which she can invest into Latin America Leg + South Africa leg.

It's all about picking money from the places where the gross is super-high and using them to give people in lands with financially weak demand the possibility to see the tour (ARTPOP is about possibilities :derpga: ) , yet managing to get the $200 M gross. From the boxscore we found out that in most LA cities Gaga was welcomed by the crowds of 25,000 people at least, so it's really cool she is not concentrating on the PROFITS and is using dat money to give people a chance to see her shows, knowing that her fans live everywhere. I love her!

And yes, but with BTWB she made a foundation for ARTPOP Ball because she showed herself as a first international touring force so people in the small economy countrys will get hooked to GaGa and will go to her tour again! With BTWB she got 150$ per person, and with ARTPOP Ball she will again get 150$ per person. Because if her ticket prices were stron people would get turned off buy it!

Managing is not about 1 or 2 year profit, it's about 10 year profit! That's why GaGa was not one hit wonder! She's a marketing and managing genious!

I'm really disappointed tbh the attendance numbers are pretty low even South Africa was much power than everyone was expecting,Only 14,000 in Oslo,9,000 in Porto Algere and the gross for most Latin American dates is pretty low so it wasn't the price of the tickrts

There were give aways...promotions..that's why the gross wasn't too high.. we can't pay ****in' 366.59 USD for a GA ticket in Brazil or 531 USD for a seat in Chile or 432 USD for a seat in Peru or 403 USD for a GA in Paraguay.. WE ARE NOT RICH COUNTRIES... Is it too hard for u understand? YEAH! It was too expensive.. it was the price of the tickets.. if they weren't too ambitious.. the gross would be bigger!

It is funny.. when people say it wasn't the price of tickets.. when the most expensive ticket in London was 128.08.. in Dublin was 126.02 and in my country was 366.59!

Power parity per capita in England - $50,566 (MOST EXPENSIVE TICKET - 128.08)

Power parity per capita in Brazil - $11,769 (MOST EXPENSIVE TICKET - 366.59)

128.08 USD in London and 126.02 USD in Dublin was reported by Live Nation..

And Madonna had 5 sell out shows in Buenos Aires in 2008.. this time she didn't sold out 2 dates ;)

Total so far (from what I'm seeing) is $181,143,168 in revenue. Is this correct?

$161,549,850

1,581,423 / 1,587,212 (99.6%)

Then the numbers in the OP need to be adjusted because it doesn't add up to that.

For the ARTPOP tour gaga has to do a proper UK 'leg' (if you will) .. Safe to see it is a huge market for her, she needs to do multiple London and Manchester dates with stops in Glasgow/Edinburgh, Cardiff, Birmingham, Belfast, Newcastle and Liverpool. Lets say she repeats what she did during the MB and just goes to the UK for its own mini leg and then goes back again a few months later while touring Europe. It's genius!

Think of the attendance/gross

A major downfall of the BTWB was that she only did 3 UK shows which is pathetic for an artist with her popularity.
