ARTPOP Gypsy 3
Is Tulsa really only 40% sold? That's one of the shows I'm going to. Nevermind, just saw the updates on the first page. Edited January 9, 2013 by GagaPixie
StrawberryBlond 14,197
I'm afraid I can't remember the original numbers, everyone, so these new figures are just going to have to do for now until the official statistics come in. To be honest, I don't know if they'll be that far off anyway. 39 arena dates in the US and Canada for an album that sold over 2 million copies collectively on those regions seems like child's play to sell out. Strawberry, are you calculating the front page based on actual ticket numbers, or on percentage of the seats that have sold out? If it's the first one, it means a lot of these dates have already exceeded a sell out. If you're going by the latter, it means the numbers will be much less than listed, because of the end-stage configuration cutting off seats. (e.g. MSG has a sporting capacity of 20,000. If she cuts off 30+% of those seats to fit a stage + backstage, it's going to be less than 20,000.

I'm not sure exactly wha MSG's concert capacity is, but I keep on seing that it's 20,000 for concerts, so that's the number I maintain. Certain stages are bigger than others as well, and I'm not sure if Gaga's stage will eliminate some of those seats.

MSG capacity for previous gaga concerts has been around 15k and that is the trend for many concerts held at that place, i think that 20k concert capacity is just wiki being wiki

There is a huge GA floor though....actually that may be correct. Bieber had 20,000 seats, no GA floor, so would 23,000 with a GA floor (which has more spots than seats) be accurate? However I think she's sold 15k seats and probably a few K GA spots, 11 sections are basically soldout, and the others are like 70% soldout. Tacoma WON'T meet the venue's demand, but it will be bigger than maybe doing 1 show in Seattle at the Key Arena tbh....
drinkmytears 2,332
Tacoma WON'T meet the venue's demand, but it will be bigger than maybe doing 1 show in Seattle at the Key Arena tbh.... Well, I doubt she can sell 23,000 tickets here. Madonna soldout 2 nights at Key Arena, but they were each 10,000. The VIP packages weren't soldout. Also many Madonna fans were going to the second show. If Gaga did 2 nights at Key Arena she could sell them out because she has sold at least 15,000 tickets. Thats one night soldout for sure. Then at least 1,000 fans would go to the second show as well, making it 60% soldout. Because she has 2 shows, people would think she was some sort of hot **** and go to the second night, or people may buy tickets the day of if their friends are raving about the shows. That way she would've soldout 1 night for sure, and at least 70 percent the second night, smaller venue means pricier seats, better location, etc. I'm sure the show at the Tacoma Dome will be marked as soldout though, no matter if 100 people bought GA tickets they would make that "soldout", and the sections that are light blue are basically soldout as they have like 3 seats left. If she can sell over 10,000 tickets in the Seattle area thats amazing, considering most people didn't know about the concert until radio announced it last week. It was an ambicious Venue, considering how low key she has played, how long its been since she has had anything on the radio and the abscense of any promo whatsoever untill very close to this show i call for 13-16k attendance for this show

Also she's gotten so much radio promo lately. More like 16k-20k out of 23k. I talked to the radio about this over email (I was trying to get backstage hookups-as if haha) and they said that it was just because she hadn't released any music and also they told me how "crap" Rihanna's ticket sales were right after a #1 hit. I knew this already, but the reassurance and shade from someone in the industry made me feel a lot better. This is a huge market for Gaga, she will surely return. More like 16k-20k out of 23k. interactive Map says otherwise though, i mean even GA remains Blue, i dunno, i don't think she can get so close to 20k, but maybe she will
drinkmytears 2,332
Britney's Circus Tour held over 20,000 people at the Tacoma Dome. It was soldout, but Britney's stage was much bigger than Gaga's is and she had a partly seated floor. I take what I said back, the show will probably hold 18-22k and sell 17-20k. interactive Map says otherwise though, i mean even GA remains Blue, i dunno, i don't think she can get so close to 20k, but maybe she will The GA floor is enormous though. Like, nearly stadium sized. Lookup pictures of the venue. Also on the seating map, 11 sections are basically soldout. The ones in light blue have literally 2-5 tickets left. Those will count as soldout. The seats in medium blue are 70% soldout. Before the incorrect update in the OP the show was 15,000/17,000 (not counting GA floor)-a fan counted the seats (see the Seattle thread). I am convinced the floor can hold 5,000 fans. So if she's sold 16,000 tickets by now and 4,000 on the floor then thats 20,000 tickets. I am so photographing the **** out of this show to prove to everyone it isn't a goddamn flop. drinkmytears 2,332
I mean, this is a huge ass venue. Also if it can hold 20,000 for soccer (in the round, no seats on the floor) then it can surely hold 23,000 for concerts (the maximum capacity). Again 15,000 tickets sold out of 17,000 not counting GA. The GA floor could be 70% soldout but it would still be a medium blue shade. There could be 2 tickets left and it would still be a light blue shade. We can safely assume the GA floor has at least 2,000 tickets sold which means this show has sold at least 17,000 out of 23,000 making it 73% soldout, and Billboard will mark that as soldout. Checkout the LA shows that were "flopping", they are still soldout even though she played to thousands less in Mexico then in 2011.

Also I feel like everyone has bought GA tickets this time for the pit. The show is at least 75% soldout, and there are probably a couple grand on the floor. I don't care about gross, I care about the Medonsters being mean because not every show soldout.
