Americano 31,061
The tour will sell itself in the US, she doesnt really need to promote it here.
HausOfBee 0
I don't think she needs to go on every radio show and announce she is touring the US but she definitely should make her presence known in America so the ticket sales will follow

nick4bty 2,758
Gosh, Latin America just killed all the momentum she had going into it. So many shows weren't sold out. Good figures overall - just not sold out. Sadly, chances are she'll severely cut the LA tour dates on the next tour, if she goes there at all. drinkmytears 2,332
Update, the Tacoma Dome only has 4,300 tickets left.
StrawberryBlond 14,202
I'm so proud of her. Just remember that the ones that are not yet verified with box office scores are just guesses according to reports. Gosh, Latin America just killed all the momentum she had going into it. So many shows weren't sold out. Good figures overall - just not sold out. Sadly, chances are she'll severely cut the LA tour dates on the next tour, if she goes there at all. Aboslutely not. She had 10 stadiums and 2 arenas to sell out and she had great attendances at all of them. This, from an artist who has been in the game for less than 5 years and this is her first time doing a proper LA leg. No other popstar was selling in LA like Gaga was at the same stage in their careers. Singers who have been around for longer than Gaga and have had more success, like Britney and Rihanna, can't sell out LA stadiums, and in Rihanna's case, she doesn't even try, but instead opts for less riskier arenas. In addition, most pop stars don't tour in LA every year, so LA will be hungry for them when they do return and it looks like Gaga's going to make a habit of going back with every tour. If she can sell like she has considering how long she's been around, why not? Besides, how do you know how well she sold until we get box office scores? Update, the Tacoma Dome only has 4,300 tickets left. Bet that's made you very relieved! Looks like Tacoma isn't going to be a flop after all. wecanbestrong 0
If she doesn't promote it more, this probably means that ticket sales are doing great! Don't bet on it. Even Madonna did that interview with Brazilian TV to sell the remaining tickets for her shows there. And don't forget Madonna sold out her US tour on the strength of her Super Bowl performance (which actually backfired because many of her casual fans were turned off/bored by the actual full show and her ridiculously late starting time). Gaga should have gone all out to fill out those LA dates but she did nothing. The fact that there are still tickets available (even for opening night) and the US tour starts in two weeks means she should be doing SOMETHING. Only two dates in Los Angeles and neither is sold out. Hopefully she gets on TV in January. A strong demand for the tour will set a good precedent for the new album. I already read an article that referred to her as a "fading Lady Gaga" and that won't be good for radio adds once the new single drops. I guess I trust her instincts but I think her lack of promo and media blackout has definitely cost her ticket sales in recent months. The good news is that unlike Madonna, die hards and casual fans alike actually love the show once they see it so it does set her up nicely for the next tour. No matter what anyone says, the response she got in LA was overwhelmingly positive.

They believe that the world revolves around America and the only things that happen in the States are relevant. She slayed around the globe but since some arenas around the US aren't packed like sardines they call her "fading." :smh: Edited December 28, 2012 by PDXMonster

MegaMiles 0
I don't live in America. I live in the US. The people in my school when they see a map of North America, they call it the United States People here (in my school) act like there is no world outside of the US. Especially when it comes to music.

At that you lost me, because two dates is good and because those two dates are practically sold out ( probably there are less than 500 tickets left, even less than that). What people like you dont seem to understand is that she is doing very well. She practically sold all that tickets based on her exposure on the Internet, which is very very well. And that in a period when she didnt have nothing in the top 40. She will probably not go to television, because is not necessary and because if she is smart will wait for that for the promotion of ARTPOP. The tickets left ( very little, little than Rihanna for example) will probably sell in the days before the concert, because local radio stations will start to promote it ( she can do some interviews there, but not necessary) by making contest, play more of her music and talk about here and because people in the region will make it a big event ( lets says that for every show there are at least 10.000 tickets sold already ( there are more). So 10000 people will start preparing, some will start camping and they will let the other ones known that she is town). So the remaing 10 - 4000 tickets will sell eventually, even at those prices. So, stop with those panic attacks. Listen to the music ( everything from Lady Gaga to Madonna), make some exercises, do everything you like and if you have time and spirit ( and if you are in the right place) enjoy these moments that will come.
