Griffin 6
is that valid?? Taylor Swift is far outselling Lady Gaga in North America ticket sales Box Office reports reveal this weekend that in North America, the battle of the gay icons at the concert box office isn't even close; Lady Gaga is far behind Taylor Swift. It's important to note that both stars are doing overall good business, but Swift is so far ahead of Gaga that it is interesting to take notice. Lady Gaga begins her North American tour at the Tocama Dome in Washington on January 14, almost a month away. There are many seats available in all sections. Taylor Swift begins her U.S. tour on March 13 in Omaha, NE and there are a limited amount of seats still available. There is no doubt that these seats will sell out within three months. Shocking is the fact that despite Lady Gaga's efforts to heavily market her work towards the gay community, gay-heavy Northern California doesn't seem to care much about her this time. She is playing only one show in San Jose this time, and even that show has yet to sell out. We are told there was another show that could have been added had the first one sold fast enough. Judging by ticket sales, the first show will definitely sell out by showtime, but you can still buy a limited amount of seats at Ticketmaster and there are many tickets available at secondary sites such as Stubhub. http://www.examiner....ca-ticket-sales Possibly. It's not a big deal anyway. She just released an album, whereas Gaga has been out of the spotlight for a while.

StrawberryBlond 14,203
Gaga has got nothing on her peers (Madonna isn't near her age, so she's not one of her peers). Taylor's tickets are apparently really cheap - she even requested that every show would have tickets priced under $50. That's cheaper than some of the earlier tickets for TMB. Rihanna's tickets are very cheap and her tours have never had more than 90 dates, so right away, she's out of the equation. Justin Beiber is currently on his US leg and so far, he's played 35/49 dates with tickets the same price as Gaga's and only pulled in $40 million with that and has barely sold out half of arenas (he should make about $54 million with all the US dates). Gaga is predicted to make near enough $60 million with 39 dates on her American leg. One Direction's tickets are also quite cheap, with the Oceania leg, consisting of 24 arena dates only pulling in $15.7 million, despite being completely sold out. Gaga pulled in $23.6 million with just 17 dates in Oceania, with some of them not even being completely sold out. Britney Spears only pulled in $69 million with her entire Femme Fatale tour. Katy Perry only pulled in $60 million from her 124 date California Dreams tour. And Nicki Minaj...let's not even go into that one. So, don't panic, everyone. Gaga is wiping the floor with everyone in the current pop scene.

Tyler D 11
Look, the show did fine. Please do understand how important it was for Gaga and her team. I should say that although Born This Way album did really amazing sales-wise in Russia (many fans), but the radio simply didn't understand the material and didn't play anything from it, even the title track which was so huge in the world. So you can say that the last big radio hit for her was Alejandro back in summer 2010, and since then for more than 2 years the radio was relatively silent for Gaga. And after such a long time she is coming to the country and proving she is a KICK-ASS performer who is pretty good at singing, dancing and the production of the show is fine. She is good to fans, and the General Public seemed to like the show, as I know, or at least they liked that the fans liked the show. She has established herself as a good live-singing act, which means the interest towards her next project will be high, and she could probably return with ARTPOP and play for even more people! I´ve been reading your posts on this forum threads, and I must say that you´re fantastic, equilibrated opinions and, most of all, many positive views. I hope you post more times here, because I like your mature opinions. TRUE TEA!!! :golfclap:

Rollercoaster 2
Is she changing the stage for the NA leg of the tour? No, just props and set list etc. The stage itself is far too big and costly to change.
