EarnYourLeather 231
People who will most likely never "slay" ever or again on the U.S. Billboard Top 200 / Hot 100: Avril Selena Gomez Carly Rae Demi Lovato Marina and the Diamonds Lana Del Rey Jennifer Lopez Kylie Minogue Miley Cyrus Xtina Jessie J Madonna Ciara MIA Nelly Furtado Mariah Nicki Minaj People who will continue to "slay": Britney GaGa Katy Rihanna Taylor Beyonce People on this forum are overusing the word "slay" for every single artist comeback. Some artists will have longevity, but most ... just no. I'm not saying whether or not they are competent artists or not, but I will say that the above clearly defines the obvious based off fan base size, pop culture presence, over stardom / power, etc... preparing for the stoning tbh ... It's just reality.

JeffSwift 314
The new avril song will do VERY well on the charts IMO. It's the type of song that every summer needs. All the teens to mid 20 year olds are going to be blasting this song in their cars and are going to be saying "OMG THIS SONG IS MY LIFE" me included
EarnYourLeather 231
Again? Never slay again? I'm pretty sure Marina never even came close to slaying to begin with this If I would have not of included the word "again", my argument would be invalid because of stars like Mariah, Madonna, etc. I'll edit the OP, and it'll reflect "again or EVER" lol

Klou 2,414
Paramore's album is released tomorrow. I'm guessing it's not exactly going to be selling like hotcakes. Metacritic score out of 8 reviews is

Arturo 40,746
That's fine if they want to give the chance to others if they deserve it... but Taylor's on her third sold out headlining tour and 'Red' has already sold 6,000,000 copies worldwide in 6 months. If that's not entertainer of the year material, than what is lol. And for anyone that says the album 'Red' isn't country (i'm looking at you Arturo). If it was chosen by the ACMs for Album of the Year nominee, obviously it has country influence. Last time I checked official chart numbers were 4.9M WW. I don't know why all you Swifties keep saying 6M. I'm not trying to discredit Taylor because I do realize that this era is extremely successful. I'm just saying that official sales > what swifties say.
