Pure Adrenaline 1,518
Y'all are comparing Gaga's numbers to Rihanna, and yeah Gaga kinda wins but what if you guys had brought the Teenage Dream, 21 and Red numbers. well none of TE singles topped 6M and her milked for 2.5 years album could only sell 5.5 WW and that pretty bad giving it the fact that BTW was consider flop and by the end of the year was nowhere near in the top 200 both in US and WW and still got 7+ WW sales Both 21 and Red aren't comparable because they are different genres and impressed different audiences It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
chris777 112
What do you mean an album like BTW? I mean the whole concept. single choices, image through the BTW era. I don't think Taylor or Katy can get top 10 singles with songs like BTW, Judas, TEOG and Y&I
hausofmike 127
I don't get why One Directions "Kiss You" isn't doing well on radio or in sales. It's radio friendly. Has a good beat. Decent song. A lot better than Live While We're Young.

They can be compared. edit: in other fanbases point of view you could see BTW numbers in another way. 400K of it's 2.2M in the US were with a discount. Without it, it would be at 1.8M in the US. I'm talking single wise tho. Songs are remembered, albums are not unless they sell like crazy. I mean the whole concept. single choices, image through the BTW era. That would be saying that not a single of those 400K people would have paid full price for the album. A lot of them would have purchased it anyway. Klou 2,414
Exactly. A lot of those regular Amazon users would have used Amazon to purchase BTW either way. They just got lucky. The forecast early on in the week before the Amazon deal happened predicted 800-850K, so roughly 100-150K of the Amazon buyers would have still purchased it. hausofmike 127
No one knew about the discount either. It wasn't planned. It was a last minute decision from amazon

craig 680
Gangham Style was on regular rotation on Canadian radio, but I haven't heard HS once. Even though I listen to some dance-oriented stations. Thrift Shop and Scream & Shout have been dominating listener voted countdowns for weeks.
