It's common for artist like Rihanna or Beyoncé to have urban singles while they have an "official" single (that also impacts pop) going

Brit Awards would only help out her promotion overseas, and right now, we have to keep in mind that she has nothing to promote, whether that be because her new material isn't ready to be released or because she's doing a greatest hits (which is the rumor, which may turn out to be true). Meanwhile, her tour doesn't begin until April - so performing in February, with no new music, won't have much of an impact.

Thrift Shop is dominating at the moment, and the Grammys are gonna give a big boost to Rihanna, Bruno, and others. It's best to wait until they all cool down - so in reality, if Gaga plans to release late March/early April, that's the smartest thing she could possible do charts-wise.

Everyone needs to listen to nick4bty and take note of this post.
