US Charts Discussion (Gaga single tracking: August)

Isn't 211k good for an acoustic album with just 2 new songs. Anyway why doesn't Jb get s#!t for releasing an album every year like rihanna.

That's quite huge, for an acoustic album. But nevertheless it's expected, given the dedication of his fanbase with regard to delivering strong opening week sales. And perhaps the reason why he isn't that scrutinized with an annual release is because his releases aren't exactly new material, unlike Rihanna's. He's fond of releasing acoustic versions of his albums and remix albums, which are somewhat considered as merely some forms of re-releases of his previous efforts. He had done it with My World 2.0, and now he's doing the same thing with Believe.

Britney's only releasing two songs this year though, she's not releasing an album anymore. She's doing a greatest hits album. And Taylor's singles will be over with in a few months...so Gaga is pretty much safe. Besides maybe from Katy

Why is she doing a greatest hits so soon? lawwwwwwwd

I won't die, but I can't live without you

Didn't Britney already have two major greatest hits album? My Prerogative (2004) and the Singles Collection (2009)? Does she really need another one at this point?

Rooting for S&S to hit #3. And if it does, it'd be her 4th single to peak in that chart position (if the current top two continues to be unmovable in the coming weeks). Gimme More, Circus, and Till The World Ends all peaked at #3 in the HOT 100 chart, and #3 is actually her second highest chart peak position in the said chart as Britney never sent a single at #2. No wonder why she has a single titled 3.

C'Mon has become my most favourite single of her since Tik Tok... It's a bit disheartening to see it being her least received single ever. Can a remix turn the tables around? :noparty:

katy does have nice videos. E.T.? Wide Awake?

Completely agree. Those two were up there with the best. Very visually pleasing videos that look to cost quite a bit.

the E.T. video did nothing for me, it's a bit boring. in fact, it's only better than I Kissed A Girl.

Wide Awake and Waking Up In Vegas tho >>>>>>>>>

i agree Katy has some pretty decent videos, especially from TD era

I find Rihanna's videos far more interesting than Katy Perry.

Anyway, I'm glad that Stay is climbing. Another top ten hit in her hands, once she'd perform it in the GRAMMYs.

Agreed 100%.

Katy's videos are lame tbh!
