that's why 90% of them are forgettable

how exactly did you come to the conclusion that repetitive equals forgettable?

cuz that sounds all kinds of wrong.

Morphine Prince

I like how Imagine Dragons is getting a lot of attention at least on iTunes. "Radioactive" and "It's Time" are both on top of the charts :)

we are in edm era right now. S&S is just another track with crazy breakdown in the middle. nothing outstanding about it

ttwe came out during autotune era (tik tok's influence tbh :nails:) very basic song

edit:

a song is repetitive if it follows the current trend and without experimenting a lil bit. it's a lessor song. thus, it's

forgettable

iTunes update

01. Thrift Shop (feat. Wanz) - Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

02. Scream & Shout (feat. Britney Spears) - will.i.am

03. I Knew You Were Trouble - Taylor Swift

04. Ho Hey - The Lumineers

05. Love Me (feat. Drake & Future) - Lil Wayne

06. Yolo (feat. Adam Levine & Kendrick Lamar) - The Lonely Island

07. Nothing Like Us (Bonus Track) - Justin Bieber

08. Don't You Worry Child (Radio Edit) [feat. John Martin] - Swedish House Mafia

09. Locked Out of Heaven - Bruno Mars

10. When I Was Your Man - Bruno Mars

Two top ten entries for Bruno Mars  As for the current top three, we'd arguably see them stay the same in the coming weeks... unless Beyonce's supposed new single would really smash. Otherwise, I cannot see any game-changer anytime soon.

By that logic Britney albums 1-5 are better than anything by Alicia Keys, Pink, etc, because dance-pop was unusual in America pre-2008 and pop-rock and R&B were repetitive generic radio fare.

If only one Poker Face or Tik Tok is allowed, well then Mariah and Whitney and many legends were repetitive and generic most of their career.

Yes TTWE has Kesha song written all over it, but it's seen as one of the better K ones.

I'm actually surprised that the new track of Bieber isn't even within the top five of iTunes, despite his acoustic album selling huge at this point. Is it because the track itself does not sound hit-material or is it because the current top five is just too strong?

It's a ballad. Not exactly Bieber's strong point.

It was for a moderate amount of time.

People are more interested in the album.

um no. i was talking within specific era. let's see

Party Rock Anthem

Sexy and I know it

We Found Love

Gangnam Style

Whistle

Scream & Shout

everyone thought that LMFAO are slaying everybody. then WFL came and GS came.

lets face it, there's something about GS that makes it stands out. i guess it has something to do with its production

so, if you are using the same formula without experimenting a bit, then your song is just repetitive and forgettable.

im not quite sure of the future of S&S. it'll probably match to SAIKI-level or lower

ryhanna

i think people should stop bashing Rih and Katy for having bad vocals.

Rih is like a rapper to me . she is featured everywhere

and Katy is like the matured version of Selena Gomez

they should focus more on real vocalists like adele, bey, xtina, gagz, bruno mars, nicki minaj etc.

:)

Nicki Minaj?

Excellent for Bruno. he totally deserves this. :legend:

I'm now feeling guilty for doubting his UJ era and thought it will flop the first time I listened to this album. lol. :smh:
