Americano 31,061
The entire album is just such a hot mess. The fact she's turning it into a semi-coherent era is beyond my expectations.
Mills 446
I'm just glad that Stay is the official second single as I prefer it over Right Now. Hopefully, she'd perform it in the GRAMMYs, and with that, she may just add her 13th HOT 100 chart-topper sooner than later, tying with Michael Jackson in the process. Klou 2,414
I have to admit it is pretty amazing how radio will literally play anything that has her name on it.

Mills 446
And as Rihanna's other singles under-performed, she has consistently topped them with HOT 100 #1s, leaving those singles which did not hit behind, once again thanks to her label's strategy of keeping singles released left and right. CKB and Man Down failed to become smash hits, here came We Found Love from a brand new album. Birthday Cake failed to become a hit, here came Diamonds, from another whole new album. She keeps coming back for some reason. Luck is on her side, I guess.
Klou 2,414
Since when? YDO flopped, TTT flopped, BC flopped, Man Down and California King Bed flopped, Stay could flop.. The only song there I'd call a true radio flop is California King Bed. The others were at least top 20 or top 10 on some format. So she has one radio flop of all her singles? Yeah... Radio loves her. She couldve rushed out another album in 2012 and shoved MTN into the back of peoples minds, but instead chose to take time off. Its not really luck, it's just that one artist keeps putting out material and another stopped to revamp things.
Mills 446
Radio loves everything Rihanna, Katy, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, and Ke$ha Similar to Gaga back in 2009 to early 2010, particularly within Mainstream Top40. Radio loved her so much that she made a record of 6 consecutive #1 hits in Pop Songs back then. I'd love if they would do the same again, or even close to it, for ARTPOP. Well, Lady Gaga couldve done that. Judas slumps, TEOG comes out. She couldve rushed out another album in 2012 and shoved MTN into the back of peoples minds, but instead chose to take time off. Its not really luck, it's just that one artist keeps putting out material and another stopped to revamp things. It perhaps also has to do with timing. The relatively fast-paced release of singles for the entire BTW era arguably caused her to have more of limitations rather than taking full advantage of opportunities. Judas was short-lived, they did not even let it have a chance to grow its airplay in radio or at least give it a decent promotion worthy of a second single. Klou 2,414
Birthday Cake actually did really well considering the only version available was the 1 minute long version. It peaked at #2 on Urban or Rhythmic (I always confuse one for the other), top 40 on hot 100, and has sold over 1 million. I don't think it's fair to call it a flop. hausofmike 127
Birthday Cake. The 1:18 version went Platinum. 10x more than MTN so
