Don't get me wrong I would love for that song to dominate here but I have literally heard it none in any of the radio stations here.

It's not even top 50 yet

What is taking She Wolf so long to take off in the US.

Didn't Titanium take like a millennium to take off too? I barely started hearing it on radio here in December

Most guetta tracks are slow growers

...another reason why they're such big hits :legend:

I heard it a lot here last year. I actually thought it was Rihanna for the longest time. :flop:
Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

Speaking of opening week album sales predictions for 2013's most anticipated acts, namely Gaga, Beyonce, and Britney, here's mine:

Beyonce: 250K-400K

For Beyonce, I considered the opening week sales of 2011's 4. Despite a relatively lukewarm reception for its lead single, the fourth album of Beyonce delivered an impressive debut week sales, 310K, compared to the other major releases of that year, demonstrating the loyalty of her devoted fanbase after all these years. With a full-blown promotion and marketing, I'd expect her to deliver those numbers this year.

Britney: 150K-350K

For Britney, same with Beyonce, I also considered the debut week sales of Femme Fatale, another 2011 release. With a lead single that debuted at #1 and the huge anticipation towards the direct competition with Gaga's Born This Way, I was initially expecting a really huge opening week sales for Femme Fatale comparable to what her Circus album did (a debut of 505K) back in 2008, but instead Britney's 7th studio album sold 276K in its first week, still impressive but relatively lower than 2011's major releases. Hence, I'm expecting the same opening week sales of FF for her eight studio album, which is rumoured to be released in the fourth quarter of 2013.

Gaga: 300K-450K

As for Gaga, my prediction for ARTPOP's first-week sales is quite slashed compared to the widely talked about 1.1M opening week sales of Born This Way, the best-selling American album in 2011. BTW achieved that feat widely because Gaga was the artist to beat back then, thanks to her pure chart domination in 2009-2010 (i.e. 6 consecutive Pop Songs #1 hits) as well as the incredible public interest towards her. She was the "It" girl of the music industry, the one heavily credited to have reinvigorated the once dull pop music scene. She was basically untouchable. That's why everyone was expecting for her to debut huge with her third major release, even weeks prior to the controversial Amazon 99-cents offer. I, for one, is still convinced that even without the 99-cents promotion, she would have still debut close to a million.

However, things are now changed. 2011 saw the meteoric rise of Adele from out of nowhere. Katy Perry, with her highly commercial album Teenage Dream, became a major force to be reckoned with in the music industry. She transferred herself from the pop rock artist who sang I Kissed A Girl into becoming the new "It" girl of Mainstream Top40. In addition to the rise of new major players, the singles of BTW relatively under-performed in the charts (with the exception of the lead single and possibly TEOG), compared to her previous efforts. And Gaga seemed to be no longer Mainstream Top40's top favourite she once was back in 2009-2010 as the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry took the opportunity with her notable absence. Besides, an opening week sales of 450K these days is already a huge accomplishment. I'm still hoping tho that she'd be able to exceed my expectations, with the right promotion, and most importantly, timing.

Dangerous Man

LOOH is not yet slowing down instead, it's still getting 2M-3M AI everyday. Maybe it'll will be number one for the whole first quarter of 2013.. I guess.

btw, that song is over 200M ai already. Do you think it can break Mariah and Beys' record?

---------------

My prediction for ARTPOP first week sales is from 400k-1.5 M sold copies... yeah, I'm delusional.

Well deserved for Bruno Mars. But at the rate it's going, I wonder if LOOH could possibly become his third single to reach 5x-platinum, after his back-to-back smash hits, 2010's Just The Way You Are and Grenade. Or is too far-fetched? It's almost bound to become his longest reign in the HOT 100 chart so far.

is it just me who simply can't stand bruno mars? his songs irritate me so much and the fact that they're overplayed... ugggghh.

still happy for him though. he has how many consecutive top ten hits now?

It's an amazing song, but it doesn't sound very good on radio IMO.

I think so. It's not impossible for LOOH to sell 5M copies or beyond that imo. Right now it's still selling 150k-300k copies every week and I believe that it can still sell 80k-100k copies after few months from now. The song has CMM vibe, not only because it was being played everywhere in every minute but also it had a good run on charts and had a great overall digital sales.

However I'm not saying that LOOH is generic as CMM. Maybe it's generic but not the usual pop song we always hear. I was actually surprised this song smashed despite of its weird (sometimes annoying) melody and instrumental. :smh:

Now, it's my guilty pleasure. :hor:

I believe there are also some people here who also don't like him or more specifically his latest single. :teehee:

Btw, his consecutive top ten solo hits are Just The Way You Are, Grenade, The Lazy Song, It Will Rain and LOOH. So he has 5 of it (if we will not count Nothin On You, Billionaire and Lighters). ;)
