Interscope did a lot to help out MTN. From a remix album, a high budget music video, multiple domestic and international TV appearances, and getting the best spot out of all the New Year's Eve performances. Plus, they did actually release a remix to the radio.

She said she would give her album for free if it was in her power. I really doubt that she has any influence on which songs are discounted and which not, just like Katy Perry or Bruno Mars are not directly responsible for their singles' cheap tactics to become #1s.
