Ozzy8923 9
Why do people have to rush-release because something leaks? It ends up doing WAY worse! They should just leave the original release date and lose a few sales. I mean they rush-released Judas and RTW and look how that ended up. HIAM leaked weeks before it was supposed to come out, but Britney's team kept its original release date and it worked out pretty well in the end. JudasInTheDark 3
The iTunes preview for C&GI wasn't even working for me on either of my devices, doubtful but that could affect sales as well..

I mean Brit has a very big fanbase so either HIAM was rush-released or not, it would still be successful. But well, the song didn't sell a lot though compared to her later singles. I think that was more of just promo issues and Britney not being present during the FF era, despite the big radio success

I think if you're a big name artist and you can score healthy debut week sales, you don't have to rush-release. your single. That's just my 2 cents. Someone like Gaga and Britney can release anything at any time, and it will sell (at least opening week).

I remember Brit was kinda lazy promoting FF during that time. But I'm not saying that she's irresponsible or didn't do something for the record. Maybe her effort was not enough.True, but first week it was her highest opening week ever and one of the biggest opening weeks for a female artist. nick4bty 2,758
Rush-releasing Judas is what hurt it the most, imo. It only had 3 days worth of sales, which caused it to peak at 10. A full week's worth of sales could have pushed it into the Top 3 easily and made the BTW immediately appear a lot more successful than it does. Not to mention radio wasn't ready for it, and by the time they started adding it sales were already tampering off, which caused radio to stop adding it. God, what a mess Judas was. CHANTEL 2
We should try to trend something #SUPERNATURALasnextsingle or something. I hope RCA doesn't just stop here it's so annoying!
Klou 2,414
Ke$ha is destined to flop no matter what she releases next. They held onto C'mon for way longer than they should have.
