Maybe Madonna did say those things as a way to throw a few jabs at Gaga. But imo, she was caught up in the moment and the whole frenzy. She needed a controversy, as a way to maybe propel album/single sales or tour tickets. It was more of a self-benefit than a hate-Gaga act. Notice how we don't hear about it now that she's done with the era? And let's not pretend like Gaga says things and keeps her word 100% all of the time But Gaga won't say hateful/mean things to others unless they are DA or P-erez. Yes she have flops, like every other artists, obviously they lost money from those flops, but if they have enough hits, then nobody cares. And anyone who looks at her sales and chart positions vs other artists you can see there is lots of $$ pushing Rihanna's music. The girl has hits and obviously makes her label money since they keep her around.
