So I think 2013 might actually be Gaga's year (if she actually ever releases anything early enough). Justin Timberlake's single is so uninspired, and Beyonce seems to be replicating her "4" era in terms of promo and possibly singles. Katy and Taylor are the only ones to really worry about now.

I still think she'll begin making news within the next few months.

Either an announcement later this month or in March, single quickly after. (Gaga)

I'm not worried about most of those artists anymore. We should fear Bruno Mars and Katy Perry, if anything, mainly because their huge radio support... Most recent releases from hyped artists have been messy, so I don't expect any big competitors any time soon.

I don't care about men, they're not competition for Gaga. Different crowds. Taylor Swift definitely isn't in the same sphere.

I genuinely only thought Beyonce would compete for the same crowd with her this year, but who knows what she's doing anymore.

Katy releasing worries me a bit. Hopefully ARTPOP will have been out for a few months by the time her she launches.

Any word on Adele's plans?

Unless it has been 100% confirmed already, I think Adele is not releasing anything this year. She barely promoted and toured before the pregnancy, what can we expect now that she has a baby?

Katy and Bruno are only competitors singles wise. Unorthodox Jukebox's sales were very disappointing and Teenage Dream couldn't outsell Born This Way even with its 8 hit singles, a re-release, and concert movie. And tour wise, obviously Gaga outsells anyone in her age bracket.

Beyonce's tour starts in APRIL, tho. Literally two months of promotion at most. :rip: And it starts in EUROPE. I have no idea why they started in Europe, when they haven't heard any of Beyonce's songs in the past 4 yrs and 2 mos. is not enough time for a single to dominate WW (assuming that the single will be released at least 2 mos. before the tour). MESS.

But what will she tour to? Her new single? Her new album? I find this so chaotic tbh. The last Beyoncé's relevant song here was Telephone tbh :toofunny:

We were so worried about Gaga's competition this year... Now they all seem to be falling apart and she's got the year practically all for herself lol

Even if Adele releases this year, she probably won't be half the juggernaut she was in 2011. As evidenced from Skyfall's lackluster sales (it was played in full during one of the biggest movies of 2012) people have moved on. I love Adele, but she was really just a hipster fad. She'll be big, but not nearly THAT big.
