I would have probably went ahead and used the lead single, but this has generated ENOURMOUS interest and publicity for her. She's priming the public to let them know Besus is back and coming to slay. Now that she's got immense buzz again, the Grammys will be perfect to debut the single. She hasn't been in the top 10 since Telephone three years ago. Did we really need to hear Baby Boy in lieu of a new single? :/ That was a really strange choice. I find it tacky for artists that have such large catalogs, like all that perform at super bowls, would need to perform a new song to get attention. They are asked to perform at the super bowl because they don't need it. The buzz has started again, she may get some new fans but people are hearing her name in their ears now so it's a perfect time for a new single release sometime this month. Definitely gets her back into the public eye in a big way which will create buzz for the single, for sure. If she is really performing at the Grammys she must be doing it there... I can understand why she wouldn't want do do it at the SB I guess, but it would be for personal, artistic reasons, not to give the public stuff they know otherwise End Of Time and Love On Top wouldn't have been there... It only has a fraction of the viewers and she has to compete with other performers who are in the top 10 right now, whereas the Superbowl was all about her. Let's not even go into the fact that she NEEDED a hit after not having one since FOUR years ago. I would be PISSED if I were her fan and she wasted this opportunity to utterly SLAY the competition effortlessly if she released a new single today and performed it. This could of done WONDERS. More than any other promotion could ever do. I mean, it's just so stupid. Flat out idiotic. I'd rather scream try hard, if that'll give me my biggest hit in 4 years and possibly of my entire career. Secondhand embarrassment for the Hive now. And you know it's bad when a BRITNEY stan feels embarrassment for another artist. Sweet baby Jean, bless her soul. I bet you if Supernatural is released, it'll do just as bad or worse. Just because one of her singles fails to reach the Top 10 or whatever doesn't mean she's done. Sales are low and the song failed to chart in many countries, but her previous single, "Die Young" is still popular and being played on the radio, clubs, etc. I do think she needs to put a lot more effort into promoting because "C'Mon" is her least promoted single. Now, she has to go against Taylor, Bruno who are both performing. Both having mega smashes within the last 6 mos. and far stronger digital sellers than her. Let the performance be the 2nd push for the song, after the initial release. Bey had made some head scratching promo moves lately.
