If that's the case then they should stop calling themselves "singers" if it's not about the vocals, regardless the topic they're singing about.

what should we call them then?

Usually when people bring them up to me, I make a really disgusted looking face and ignore them :ohwell: but they are..."singers", to some degree. Though, Ke$ha's more of a singer than the likes of LMFAO, Flo Rida, etc.

Rooting for Thrift Shop, S&S (cuz Brit needs a hit), DYWC, S&T (cuz I stan for JT), and Sweet Nothing (cuz Flo's vocals :legend:)

Question: where did When I Was Your Man come from? like, one minute it's barely top 40 and I'm like "aw, flop" and then I check today and it's #5...same goes for Arms by CP coming back into the top 200, I Love It by Icona Pop, and the Olly Murs song.

A proper performance and/or video could change people's mind about a song. It worked for me and Wide Awake's video. The song didn't click with me until the video came out.

Agreed, most, if not all, of the singles which I loved were partly because of the accompanying visual presentations such as a performance or a music video. That happened to me when I've seen the videos of Telephone and We Found Love. At first, I'm not that a huge fan of those singles when they came out, but I started to love them when I enjoyed watching their respective videos. It really does help in a way to make the songs more interesting.

On one hand, there are these songs that even without a video, I could not help but love it right after the first listen, such as The Edge of Glory, Sweet Nothing, and I Knew You Were Trouble. I guess it really depends on one's musical preferences at the end of the day.

It's Bruno's next single. It was performed live in The Voice and Jimmy K show and the GP loved the performance, ala Someone Like You effect. Plus, radios rn is supporting Mars, I actually consider Mars as the Radio King. So I guess these are the reasons why the song hit top 5 in itunes.

Looking forward to the fifth studio album of Avril Lavigne, especially I'd love for pop rock to be represented in the upper half of the HOT 100 anytime soon. And I also want her new album to sound like more Under My Skin and less Goodbye Lullaby. It will be a huge treat if she comes up something like My Happy Ending... I'm missing Avril Lavigne in the charts.

New peaks for S&S and Sweet Nothing are always welcome, well at least for me. And I'm just beyond excited that SN is too close to finally reaching the top 10... And if it does happen, a dream come true it will be.
