Harry 26,836
That we we need - EDM producers getting together with artists who can write and sing. Totally agree with that. It's what makes the Spectrum remix and Sweet Nothing stand apart for me, I think they make a really good team. You could even go as far back as The Time (Dirty Bit), but yeah, I think WFL really kicked off the trend. Suppose you could even make a case for Boom Boom Pow but I suppose WFL was the first in this latest wave. In the US, anyway. Calvin has always done it in his music since his first UK hits back in 2007.
Pure Adrenaline 1,518
It's different though! And that logic is not right, just because a majority of "artists" or people do something, doesn't justify their actions. It's cheating, plain and simple. And back in the '80s, Janet Jackson and Mariah would do remixes NOT to chart higher on the billboard chart & score a #1, but because it was part of their artistry and they wanted to collaborate with another artist. THEY CHANGED THE VOCALS/SONG COMPLETELY, which is something Katy and Rihanna NEVER do when they remix their cheap, tacky, annoying songs. They just get a popular rapper to be featured on the song so it grabs the public's attention and they sell more. Plus, back in the '80s, the songs were already done charting and THEN they released the remixes. Completely different than Katy and Rihanna using them at the last chance to score a bigger hit on the charts. :golfclap: It's much more fun to have hizophrenia... u never get lonely
Ozzy8923 9
That wasn't a cold, that's just her voice Britney had a cold in January 2011 and she admitted it in an interview at the beginning of the FF era. It's possible she could of recorded that remix when she had that cold. :nails:
Ozzy8923 9
10 +2 WILL.I.AM & BRITNEY SP... Scream And Shout 97.594 +3.075 Biggest radio hit soon for Britney?! Easily. IWG is her biggest radio hit with 101M AI. And, peak wise, TTWE (and I think HIAM too) peaked at #5 on Radio Songs and remains her highest peaking single on that chart. S&S can go Top 4 and pass 101M AI easily.
